The Access Fee for Venice (Contributo di Accesso) is a system introduced by the city to help manage tourism and protect Venice.
For 2026, it generally works like this:
• It applies to day visitors who enter Venice without staying overnight.
• If you are staying in a registered accommodation (like our apartment), you do not have to pay the fee, as it is already covered by your stay (you will only pay the regular tourist tax).
• However, you may still need to register online to obtain a QR code, which can be requested during certain dates.
The QR code may be checked at entry points in the city. I will send it to you one day before your arrival, so you don’t need to worry or take any action.
If you have any doubts, feel free to ask—I’m happy to help 😊
