🛎️ For nearly thirty years, he was the link between the city and us.

Gianluca was the “gateway” to Hotel Saturnia for 27 years. Hired by Dr. Ugo Serandrei in 1999, he welcomed thousands of guests: joining Hotel Saturnia with the third generation, he worked side by side with the fourth and fifth, accompanying the hotel and the city through nearly three decades of change. Always there, present, ready to welcome ✨

On Sunday, May 24, that door closed on his last day of work, but it remains wide open to the memory of what he meant to guests and colleagues.
Thank you, Gianluca, for being our gateway to the world. We wish you a bright retirement, full of new thresholds to cross! 🤍

🛎️ Per quasi trent’anni, il confine tra la città e noi è stato lui.

Gianluca è stato “la porta” dell’Hotel Saturnia per 27 anni. Assunto dal Dr. Ugo Serandrei nel 1999, ha accolto migliaia di ospiti: entrato all'Hotel Saturnia con la terza generazione, ha lavorato fianco a fianco con la quarta e la quinta, accompagnando l’hotel e la città attraverso quasi tre decenni di cambiamenti. Sempre lì, presente, pronto ad accogliere ✨

Domenica 24 Maggio quella porta si è chiusa sul suo ultimo giorno di lavoro, ma resta spalancata sul ricordo di ciò che ha rappresentato per ospiti, colleghi.
Grazie, Gianluca, per essere stato la nostra porta sul mondo. Ti auguriamo una pensione luminosa, piena di nuove soglie da attraversare! 🤍

At the Festa della Sensa, a part of the Hotel Saturnia was also present in the lagoon.
🚣🏼‍♀️ Greta Zoe Serandrei, one of the owners, took part in the water parade celebrating the unbreakable bond between Venice and its sea.

For us, it’s a tradition to experience firsthand: the Serandrei family continues to play an active role in the city. The bond with Venice lives not only in the hotel’s rooms, but also in the family members who take part in its most cherished traditions. 🤍 ✨

💍The ancient Sposalizio del Mare (Marriage of the Sea) is celebrated once again, a ceremony that for centuries has symbolized the unbreakable bond between the city and its lagoon.
☔ A religious observance commemorating the Ascension of Jesus after Easter, for many Venetians, the Sensa is also linked to an old folk proverb: “If it rains on the day of the Sensa, we won’t be without rain for forty days.”

It is a moment that belongs to Venetian memory and its present, made up of rituals, identity, and wonder.
