For us at the Hotel Saturnia, so closely connected to the water and Venice’s seafaring spirit, the departure of the Amerigo Vespucci is a moment that cannot leave us indifferent.

Launched in 1931, the Italian Navy’s historic training ship continues to train generations of cadets and to spread throughout the world a vision of seafaring rooted in discipline, tradition, and respect for the sea. Today it left Venice, continuing its journey: an enormous and fascinating creature, perfectly at home in the waters of the lagoon.

Today, our area is experiencing a power outage. To ensure that our guests’ stay continues without a hitch, we at the Hotel Saturnia & International have set up a dedicated generator to minimize any possible inconvenience or complications and maintain the highest level of service continuity. ⚡

Our goal is for our guests to continue enjoying their time in Venice with the same peace of mind and serenity as always. However, we ask that you exercise a little caution throughout the day.

Every December, Ros Pritchard OBE returns to the Saturnia with her paints and a special spot on our rooftop. ✨

🤍 From there, she paints the shifting light on Santa Maria della Salute, the reflections on the rooftops, and the peace all around her: suspended moments that have inspired many of her paintings and drawings.

For Ros, the Saturnia has become more than just a hotel: it’s a familiar place where the staff welcomes her like a friend, the terrace is her open-air studio, and Venice, seen from here, transforms into a living work of art. 🎨

Ogni dicembre, rospritchardobe torna al Saturnia con i suoi colori e un posto speciale sul nostro tetto. ✨

🤍 Da lì dipinge la luce che cambia su Santa Maria della Salute, i riflessi sui tetti, la pace intorno a lei: attimi sospesi che hanno ispirato molti dei suoi dipinti e disegni.

Per Ros l’hotel Saturnia è diventato più di un hotel: è un luogo familiare in cui il personale l’accoglie come un’amica, la terrazza è il suo studio a cielo aperto e Venezia, vista da qui, si trasforma in un’opera d’arte viva. 🎨

The End of Times wins the 11th edition of the Mario Serandrei – Hotel Saturnia Award for Best Technical Achievement. 🏆

The award, presented Friday evening as part of International Critics’ Week during the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, was presented by Marianna Serandrei to *The End of Times* by Bibiana Rojas Gómez and Juan David Cárdenas Maldonado.

The jury praised the film’s editing and its ability to connect the past and the future, creating a dialogue between VHS archives and artificial intelligence-generated imagery. 🎞️

The End of Times vince l’undicesima edizione del Premio Mario Serandrei – Hotel Saturnia per il Miglior Contributo Tecnico. 🏆

Il riconoscimento, assegnato venerdì sera nell’ambito della Settimana Internazionale della Critica durante l’83ª Mostra Internazionale del Cinema di Venezia, è stato consegnato da Marianna Serandrei a The End of Times di Bibiana Rojas Gómez e Juan David Cárdenas Maldonado.

La giuria ha premiato il lavoro sul montaggio e la capacità del film di mettere in relazione passato e futuro, facendo dialogare archivi VHS ed elaborazioni in intelligenza artificiale. 🎞️
