Today is a happy day for Venice and Venetians.
Today we woke up and we knew that the weather and the wind were perfect for a day of high tide. We were sure that we had to wear our green plastic boots to walk through our flooded streets. Venetians were worried about their houses, business, streets, museums etc... like every time we hear about high tide alert. But today is the fist time that MOSE worked. After A LOT of years of insecurity, protests and sacrifices the innovative dams finally worked. And we can say that now Venice is high tide free! 🤞🏼
