La consistenza delicata del classico dessert francese che nasconde, sotto una croccante crosticina caramellata, un gusto profondo, speziato e nobile.
Il segreto principale di questo piatto è la sua storia. Lo zafferano, la spezia più antica e preziosa al mondo, viene coltivato e raccolto con cura a mano proprio qui, nei campi di La Commenda Concordia.

At La Commenda Concordia, time flows slowly. Our guests don’t just come here to “see Tuscany,” but to feel it, to be present, and to taste it.
• Some wake up with the first rays of sun in their room to go for a stroll through the fields.
• Others spend hours reading a book in the park, completely forgetting about their phones.
• Some choose a massage or a restorative meditation with singing bowls.
• Others head out for truffle hunting or wine tastings in nearby vineyards, only to return “home” to the villa in the evening for dinner at our incredibly delicious restaurant .restaurant

Spring at the Villa

The spring is at its peak. The young leaves are new and the green is so deep and clear it catches you, holding you there. It is a very good thing to watch. Everything is in bloom now. The poppies show themselves in the grass like small, red fires, and the air is heavy with the scent of it all.
Sometimes the sky darkens and the storms come. They are good storms. It is a fine thing to sit and watch the rain fall on the hills while the house stays dry and quiet.
The days are long and made for walking. In the evenings, there is the wine—red and velvet in the glass—and there are the long talks that go on into the dark. Or there is a book. It is a very good time to be here.
