Into the deep green we go. Guided by true forest insider tartufaio Mattia and his sharp truffle dog, there’s something magical about wandering along sun-dappled paths, watching the excitement build with every sniff of the forest floor.

A long, peaceful stroll through the woods turned into the ultimate treasure hunt. Before we knew it, our paper bag was filled with freshly unearthed black truffles—fragrant, wild, and raw.

The aroma of pure earth, good company, and summer shade beneath the trees. Experiencing that scent fresh out of the soil is truly a unique kind of magic. 🤍

When you stay with us, make sure to go on a truffle hunt—I highly recommend it!

Running a villa is a far more adventurous pursuit than it might seem at first glance. Villa La Commenda Concordia is like a book or a theater stage where the backdrops remain still, but the storylines change with incredible speed. Just in the finest traditions of old hotels.
The other day, over a morning cup of espresso, our guests shared a fascinating detail about one of the newly arrived travelers.
As it turned out, this modest gentleman had come to us straight from China—not by plane, but by riding 26,000 kilometers on a motorcycle, leaving a vast array of completely different countries behind him. Before finding our little hidden gem, he had journeyed through Tibet, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Turkey, and Greece, and then made his way up through Albania and Croatia to finally reach Italy. He rode through our gates planning on just a quick overnight stay, but ended up choosing to stay longer to fully enjoy the ambiance, before eventually rushing off toward Rome. Absolutely in the spirit of a great novel.
Traveling right along with him is a little rainbow sheep figurine: “My talisman,” he smiles, looking ahead to 2027—the year of the Chinese zodiac dedicated to this very charming animal.
Collecting such storylines is an exquisite pleasure.

We are often asked: “What do your guests do all day long?”

The answer might surprise you: sometimes — almost nothing. And that is exactly where the greatest beauty lies.

At La Commenda Concordia, time flows slowly. Our guests don’t just come here to “see Tuscany,” but to feel it, to be present, and to taste it.
• Some wake up with the first rays of sun in their room to go for a stroll through the fields.
• Others spend hours reading a book in the park, completely forgetting about their phones.
• Some choose a massage or a restorative meditation with singing bowls.
• Others head out for truffle hunting or wine tastings in nearby vineyards, only to return “home” to the villa in the evening for dinner at our incredibly delicious restaurant .restaurant
