Upgrade your room by purchasing a Priviledge upgrade. You will have access to this Premium beach where there are less rocks and pebbles when entering the sea from the beach. Alot of videos from travel influencers are about providing information on the quality of the beach at this property. The amenities however make up for this shortcoming. Ocean-view rooms are expensive but is definitely worth it.

Half Moon closes for first time in 63 years

Luxury hotel undergoes extensive renovations

For the first time in 63 years, Half Moon will close its doors, while focusing on refreshing existing accommodations and guest facilities on the 400-acre resort.

The hotel, which became a trailblazer for the luxury-resort industry in the Caribbean after it was built as a winter escape in 1954, will remain closed for the month of September, reopening on October 4, General Manager, Sandro Fabris has confirmed.

Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett, says arrival figures since the start of the year have been at an all-time high, with the country poised to welcome a historic one million visitors by the end of June.
“We have never seen figures like what we saw for April and May. June also looks like something special and where we should be seeing over one million in visitor arrivals for the first time ever over a six-month period,” he informed.
The Minister told reporters and tourism stakeholders in attendance that it was because of the record arrival numbers in months traditionally seen as low that the Ministry has decided to do away with the observance of special tourist seasons. (source: JIS)
