Some guests visit once… and some become part of the Roots Bamboo family. ❤️🌴
Meet Marlene Lloyd, whose Roots Bamboo story began all the way back in 1989. Since that very first visit, Marlene has returned to us every single year, with the only exception being during COVID.
For more than three decades, she has shared countless memories, friendships, laughter, reggae and beautiful moments with us here at Roots Bamboo. 🇯🇲❤️ But Marlene’s connection to Jamaica goes far beyond her visits.
Through the Barry Lloyd Foundation, lovingly named in honour of her late husband, Marlene has also dedicated herself to giving back and making a difference within our local community. Although this part of her story isn’t mentioned in the video, we couldn’t share her story without recognizing the kindness, generosity and love she continues to show to so many. 🙏🏾❤️
Marlene, thank you. Thank you for your loyalty to Roots Bamboo, for returning year after year, and for the incredible work you continue to do through the Barry Lloyd Foundation.
From 1989 to today, you’re more than a returning guest — you’re family. 🌴💚💛❤️
Here’s to many more years, many more visits and many more beautiful memories together. 🥂🇯🇲
