Hotel Rio Bueno, the hidden gem of Trelawny

Hotel Rio Bueno was founded by renowned international Jamaican Artist Joe James and his wife Joyce. Joe wanted to provide a space where travelers who were interested in a rustic, historical, peaceful setting could relax and unwind while being attended to friendly warm staff. Each room was designed by Mr. James who placed his own unique artistic touch in every detail, including artwork, furniture and room design. All rooms have sea views where on can sit on their private balcony to enjoy the sunrise, moon rise and evening and dawn colors splash across the sky. Once can also enjoy the warmth of the Caribbean sea and snorkel among tropical fish and coral reefs. The hotel and property has rich history dating back to the Spanish era during the arrival of Christopher Columbus and the British Colonial period when the property used to store sugar for transport. Some of the rooms still have original structures from the British Era. The property is also home to Gallery Joe James, one of the largest art galleries in the Caribbean and the world renowned Lobster Bowl Restaurant, where the best lobster and other fresh seafood are prepared to perfection.
