So thrilled to welcome winter guests to our beloved home in . Undeterred by post-Melissa uncertainty, three generations of this beautiful Chicago family enjoyed their stay for the first time vowing to return again. Nothing makes us happier.

So many guests, including our most recent ones, a family of 10 first-timers from Chicago, have commented on our artwork at the villas that I thought I would post a few of them here and promise to mention details of the artists in a series of upcoming posts. When I started filling the home with my art, my BFF said “Vic, It’s like you’ve been collecting art for Rainbow Tree your whole life.” That’s about right.

We’re Baaaaack! It has been extraordinary to be back home in Treasure Beach, to see the progress. Guests are coming back and have nothing but praise. Electricity has been restored. threw a banging NYE party, built back an even better beach experience and Floyd’s is nearly ready. Other local attractions including YS Falls are planning to welcome guests within weeks. Although I have been coming here for 3/4 of my life, I am still impressed with the spirit and resilience of the Jamaican people (and animals)!

Thank you for all who have been asking about our beloved Treasure Beach.

The good news from Billy’s Bay is that our entire staff and immediate neighbors have been accounted for. Everyone is safe and has come together to start the big clean up. The roads to us are blocked by water. So, obviously, many people are worried. If you put queries in here, we will attempt to find whomever you are looking for.

Aman and family are already heading up the efforts. Malcolm stayed on the property with the whole family and Butter and Buster. And, thankfully, the house stood strong. Hardly a scratch. The worst damage came seaside. The surge came halfway up the beachside stairs and chewed them up. They also took out the well and most of the trees.

Miraculously, the magical almond tree still stands.

We are grateful to all the powers greater than us for the protection.

We continue to Pray for those who are still in danger, without homes and food.

But know that we will always come together with our Jamaican family and friends to rebuild in the spirit that makes Treasure Beach, Treasure Beach.
