🙏 Many people ask us how things are in Jordan right now.
The reality is that Jordan is deeply affected by the situation in the region. Tourism has slowed dramatically, and many small businesses are facing difficult times. However, it is important to say clearly: there is no war in Jordan.
We are often asked whether we offer discounts because of the current situation. The answer is no. Our rates remain the same because they were already fair and accessible before. We have not increased our prices over the years, and behind every booking are real people whose livelihoods depend on this work.
🤍 We are a family-run business. We employ local Jordanian chefs and housekeepers, pay fair salaries, cover taxes, insurance, vehicle costs, marketing, and all the expenses that come with running a responsible business. Like many others, we are navigating uncertainty and trying to make a living while work remains scarce.
🌱 We are also sometimes asked about sustainability. Located inside a protected desert area, we have embraced sustainable practices from the very beginning. We use solar energy, provide water gallons instead of single-use plastic bottles, and operate shared bathrooms rather than private en-suite facilities. This is not because we cut corners—it is because we believe in responsible tourism in one of the driest regions on Earth. Shared facilities have always been part of traditional Bedouin camp life.
🐪 We are not a luxury hotel in the desert. We are an authentic Bedouin family business, rooted in our community, our culture, and the landscape we call home.
So if you ask us how we are, the answer is simple: we take it day by day, with dignity, gratitude, and hope. And while challenges remain, we continue working on new ideas, new experiences, and new ways to welcome guests to this extraordinary place.
🙏 Thank you to everyone who supports local, authentic, and sustainable tourism. It means more than you know.
