Autumn is Here at Shinsen-numa. 🍂
The leaves are beginning to turn and the air has cooled to around 15°C. Just 30 minutes by car from Chatrium Niseko Japan, Shinsen-numa is a beautiful place to catch Niseko’s autumn colours as they arrive.

October is when Niseko begins to change. The air turns cooler, autumn flavours arrive, and the landscape slowly shifts towards the season ahead.

Start with the Rankoshi New Rice Festival, celebrating the year’s new harvest with freshly harvested Rankoshi rice, local food and festivities. Then comes Niseko Halloween, bringing costumes, trick-or-treating and seasonal fun around the Niseko Station area. Even before the celebrations begin, the station welcomes autumn with its familiar display of pumpkins and Halloween decorations.

And as October moves on, you can feel another change in the air. Mornings become colder, the mountains begin to look different, and thoughts naturally turn towards the first snow.

The First Turn of Snow is an invitation to be here as winter begins. Settle into Chatrium Niseko Japan and enjoy the early days of the season at your own pace.
