昨今「季節はずれの酷暑」が話題となっていますが･･･やはりブナの森は期待を裏切りません。ブナの葉が日傘となって、森の中は爽快そのもの。盛夏が近づき太陽の軌道が高くなってきたおかげで、陽が真上から差すようになり、十二湖の色合いはひときわ鮮やかになってきました。Unseasonably severe heat is a hot topic recently. However, it is so refreshing inside beech tree forests, because abundant beech tree leaves block the sunshine just like umbrellas. As midsummer comes close and the orbit of the sun gets higher, the color of Juniko Ponds has got clearer.

Yesterday we guided the first clients of this summer season in the Juniko area, where there are numerous scenic spots, including Aoike Pond, virgin beech tree forests, and Japan Canyon.

今年は6月以降、計4本のサイクリング・ツアーを実施しました。その最後のグループが、9月22日から30日にかけてオーストラリアから来日し、当ホテルに滞在しました。皆さん、ヨーロッパ・アルプスのビッグ・ルートの走破歴もあるエキスパートでしたが、「人生で一番素晴らしいサイクリング・ツアーだった」ということばを残して、帰路につきました。変化に富んだルート、歴史と文化の薫る数多くのスポット、恵まれた海の幸と山の幸･･･。世界に誇れるエリア、ルートがここにはあります。
This year we ran four cycling tours since June. The final group visited from Australia, staying at Rockwood from September 22 to 30. They were all very experienced cyclists who have ridden across some of the most popular cycling routes in the European Alps. After the tour, we were surprise and ecstatic to learn that this tour was one of the best cycling tours they've ever had in their life! It was an honor to receive such complimentary feedback from these experienced cyclists and this shows that Aomori, rich with history and culture as well as products from both sea and mountains, has some of the best routes for cycling and we hope that many more cyclists will be able to visit us and fully experience the beauty Aomori has to offer!

青森が一年で一番熱くなるねぷた・ねぶたのお祭りが終わり、今度は大勢のお客様がネイチャー・ウォーキングやトレッキングに訪れてくださっています。この週末（11日～12日）は、十二湖、暗門の滝、岩木山など、ほぼすべてのコースにお客様をご案内しました。とりわけ滝コースは暑ければ暑いほど本領発揮！お客様は全身で涼を満喫していました。
Now that Neputa and Nebuta festivals are over, We have many guests visiting us for nature walking and trekking activities. We guided clients across manycourses, including Juniko, Anmon Falls, and Mt. Iwaki this weekend. The hotter it becomes, the more refreshing it gets to explore the gorges and falls in the Anmon Area!

本日（7月29日）、第33回鯵ヶ沢トライアスロン大会が開催され、当ホテルがバイク・コースの中間・折り返し地点となりました。ホテル前に設置されたエイド・ステーションでは、地元ボランティアの方々が給水等のサポートにあたりながら温かい声援を送っていました。また、当ホテルから1名の実行委員と2名のボランティアが大会の運営をお手伝いをさせていただきました。
ホテル下の急坂はハードなクライムを強いられますが、登り切ると、岩木山の展望が開け、日本海と鯵ヶ沢町が俯瞰出来るドラマティックなコース。選手の皆さんにも、きっとこのルートの素晴らしさが伝わったことでしょう。

Today. on July 29, the Ajigasawa triathlon event was held and this hotel got the halfway point. The aid station was prepared in front of the hotel and local volunteers supported the event. The hotel also sent one committe member and two volunteers for it.
Though the climb just below the hotel is very strenuous, the view at the top is so beautiful. We believe that the wonderfulness of this route was proved this time!

当ホテル・当スキー場の上部から岩木山の頂上を結ぶ登山道「長平（ながだい）コース」は、20年近くにわたり人の手が入らず荒廃していましたが、昨年から地元有志の皆さんと協働でこのコースの整備をしてきました。そして、今日（7月22日）の作業をもってほとんどの整備が終わり、晴れて麓から頂上までの道が開通しました。このコース、固有種の高山植物やブナ原生林など、見どころ満載！もちろん、専属ガイドによるご案内も致します。ぜひ当ホテルをベースキャンプにご利用ください。
The Nagadai Trail, one of six Mt. Iwaki trekking routes, leads you to the peak of Mt. Iwaki from the hotel. This route had been abandoned for about 20 years and local volunteers started restoring it last summer. Today, on July 22, we've done nearly completed the clean up and the trail is open! This route is full of highlights such as endemic alpine flowers and virgin beech forests. Of course, an in-house mountain guide can take you there. And our hotel is perfect for base camp!

6月12日、今年度第一弾のJune・サイクリング・ツアーが幕を閉じました。5日間で、総走行距離500km超、総獲得標高10000m超のライディングとなりました。次回のツアーは7月9日から13日までの予定です。さらに内容が濃く思い出深いツアーにしていきたいと思います。

5月の連休中は大勢の皆様にお越しいただき、ありがとうございました。ネイチャー・ウォーキング、トレッキングでは、春の到来を告げる花々と相まって、ブナの新緑と残雪のコントラストがとても綺麗でした。

During the Golden Week, we had a lot of guests at the hotel and many of them participated in our activities. Thank you for visiting and joining us!
In Nature Walking and Trekking, the contrast of remaining snow and beech tree sprouts, along with bloom of rare alpine flowers, was so beautiful.

Here is the video, which introduces Nature Walk. Lake Juniko and Japan Canyon are mainly featured in it.
