台風が通り過ぎたあと
大切に育てているバナナの木が何本も倒れ、
パッションフルーツの実もたくさん落ちました。
海辺の景色もがらりと変わり・・
波が近くまで来たのか、砂を大きくえぐり取り、今まで砂に隠れていた根が姿を現しました。
浜に漂着していた大木は、すぐ手前まで運ばれてきました
そして大雨のたびに、
どこからともなく大量の流木が流れ着いてきます。もちろんいつもの、プラスチックゴミもです。。
自然の力の大きさを前にすると、
思うようにならないこともたくさんありますね
それでも、また片付けて、また整えて・・
また海を見つめる。。
奄美の自然は厳しくもありますが、
その変化さえも、この島の営みの一部なのだと感じています。🌿
奄美大島は、まだ少し梅雨☂️は続くみたいです。
でも、大切な季節です。
梅雨ならでは、、の自然からの贈り物かな？
与庵は虫の訪問も多くなってます🙇♂️
奄美の深い緑は、この長い雨があるからこそ生まれます。
晴れの日だけでは、この生命力は育ちません。。

After the typhoon passed through Amami…
Several of the banana trees I had carefully nurtured were knocked down, and many passion fruits fell from the vines.
The shoreline changed too.
The waves reached farther inland than usual, carving away large sections of sand and revealing roots that had been hidden beneath for years.
Even a huge driftwood log was carried right up near the beach.
And with every heavy rain, more driftwood arrives from somewhere upstream—along with the usual plastic debris that finds its way to our shores.
Standing before the power of nature, I’m reminded that so many things are beyond our control.
Still, we clean up.
We restore.
And once again, we find ourselves gazing out at the sea.
Amami’s nature can be harsh at times, but these changes are also part of the island’s natural rhythm.
