【Guests in March 2026】

Thank you for staying at our guesthouse!
We're looking forward to seeing you here again!

March marks the end of the year in Japan.
In April, cherry blossoms bloom, and schools, companies, and many other things start anew.
This year, the cherry blossoms bloomed as usual, so I think many guests were able to enjoy the cherry blossoms as planned!
A parent and child who have stayed with us many times came again from Hokkaido.
I feel lucky to have made such wonderful friends. Next time, we will come to Hokkaido to see you!
Actually, we took a short break from the Guesthouse in February. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Sato san’s rest and our marriage, we took wedding photos in Hawaii.
NANA’s mother also went with us. Since we were busy preparing to open this guesthouse , we couldn’t have a wedding ceremony before.
For the first time after turning 40, I was able to wear a wedding dress:)

何度も泊まりに来てくれている北海道の親子がまた来てくれました！娘も大喜び(^^)今度は私たちが会いに行くね！！
2月の団体様チェックアウトの後少しお休みしました。宿と私達夫婦の結婚10周年、当時結婚式を挙げることができなかった私たちは、写真だけでも？！ということで、10年間コツコツ温めてきたハワイでのウェディングフォト撮影。nanaの母も一緒にやっと行くことができました(^^)

【To the students of Astray】
We have only been by your side for a month, but it has made us happy every day to see you living together happily.

I always think about something on the day this group checks out. For us, it’s just a normal month, but for them, it must be an unforgettable and invaluable month in their lives. We, too, have felt sad when leaving a place during our long travels and wished that the experience could continue forever. They remind us of those feelings.

I’m not very good at English, so I couldn’t express this in my farewell speech at checkout. But now, I would like to say this to all the students who have stayed with us in our home through this organization.

With the memories of this month in your hearts, I hope you will continue to thrive around the world. And please feel free to come back anytime! Let me say “OKAERINASAI” to you again.

【Guests in September 2025】

Thank you for staying at our guesthouse!
We're looking forward to seeing you here again!

September still had many hot days. Towards the end of the month, it gradually started to feel like autumn.
It's early October now as I'm writing this, and it's become much cooler.
The autumn leaves in Tokyo start around end of November . I don't like the cold, but I like this time of year when the heat subsides and it gradually approaches autumn!
In Japan, we sometimes call it "the autumn of art."
One day in September, I took my daughter to a museum in Ueno. The Ueno area has many museums. The park is also large, so it's a great time for a walk! (Perhaps because this year's summer was too hot, there weren't many mosquitoes, but now they are starting to appear, so I think it's a good idea to have insect repellent spray even for evening walks.)

【Guests from June to August 2025】

Long time no see! This year's summer in Japan was very hot again.
We had students from Australia staying with us for a month in June 😊 They were all wonderful students this time too ✨Thank you for the lovely message cards 🥰

My daughter, Anna, has become a first-grader, and this is her first summer vacation. Sato san's rest took a longer summer vacation this year.

During that time, some friends and former guests came to visit!

We will be open continuously from September 5th until the New Year holidays.

If you come to Tokyo, please feel free to stop by 😊

It seems Tokyo has entered the rainy season. Even on rainy days, shrines and temples have a mystical atmosphere and are beautiful! It’s the season when hydrangeas bloom beautifully. Although it’s the rainy season, Tokyo actually has its own unique charm during this time.

We went on a field trip to see Mt. Fuji! I think we can now make better suggestions about tourism to Mt. Fuji!!
