Spring is here and we are pleased about it 🌿
This little Jizo statue is pleased to be one of many at the gorgeous Kawazu Seven Waterfalls area, which we highly recommend visiting while in Izu.
Jizo are made in the image of Jizo Bosatsu, the guardian deity of children and travelers. They are kind and patient deities, and so don't mind being covered in moss and weathering the elements.
