8月29日 (金)、奄美大島出身のラップスティールギタリスト／ビートメイカー／空間サウンドクリエイター ”KENGO YAMASH*TA ()” によるFlow LiveをWPÜ DINING HAKONE開催！

DOPE＆DEEPにボーダーレスな音世界へ。旅のテーマはLOVE＆PEACEから、広がるイメージはニューワールドミュージック。

On 8.29 (Fri), a live performance by new world music artist KENGO YAMASH*TA () will be held at WPÜ DINING HAKONE.

DOPE & DEEP soundscape that transcends borders. The journey begins with LOVE & PEACE, expanding into the imagination of new world music.

奄美大島出身。ラップスティールギタリスト／ビートメイカー／空間サウンドクリエイター。神奈川・奄美を拠点に活動。Boars、Apollo卯弦界、木響旅団、青空と犬、HOTDOGS、BANBABAND、邪念ｽﾞ、ネムレナイツ、der、Vacanza、南国酒場、三 等に参加。DOPE＆DEEPなボーダーレス音楽で新たな世界を描き出す。

Born in Amami Oshima, KENGO YAMASH*TA is a lap steel guitarist, beatmaker, and spatial sound creator based in Kanagawa and Amami. Active in multiple projects and bands including Boars, Apollo Ugenkai, Kikyo Ryodan, Aozora to Inu, HOTDOGS, BANBABAND, Janenz, Nemurenights, der, Vacanza, Nangoku Sakaba, and San. His music is DOPE & DEEP, a borderless soundscape that unfolds into a new world.

Art Exhibition: ”Reflection”

兵庫県出身・ニュージーランド在住のアーティストRina Lila () によるアート展示「Reflection」を8月6日 (水) から9月30日 (火) WPÜ HAKONE 1F GALLERYにて開催。

"Reflection," an art exhibition by Rina Lila, an artist from Hyogo Prefecture currently based in New Zealand, will be held at the WPÜ HAKONE 1F GALLERY from Wednesday, August 6 to Tuesday, September 30.

- MESSAGE -

私にとって絵を描くことは、自分自身を見つめる行為でもあり、感情や内面の動きが自然と作品に表れます。絵を描くことから離れていた時期もあったけど、今回の箱根滞在制作をきっかけに、絵を描くことの楽しさ、絵は私にとって表現の一つなんだと再確認できました。今回の展示では現在の作品と過去の作品が混ざっている構成になっています。

For me, painting is a way to reflect on myself. My emotions and inner movements naturally emerge in my work. There was a time when I stopped painting, but through this residency in Hakone, I was able to reconnect with the joy of creating and rediscover that painting is an important form of expression for me. This exhibition features a mix of recent works and pieces from the past, reflecting both who I am now and who I was.

兵庫県出身、ニュージーランド在住。
2021年より日本国内で展示・イベント・コラボレーションなどを通して活動。さまざまな色を使った表現を得意とし、印象派や現代アートから影響を受けながら、現在は抽象と具象のあいだを行き来しつつ、自分らしい表現を模索している。

Originally from Hyogo, Japan. Currently based in New Zealand.
She began her artistic career in 2021, taking part in exhibitions, events, and collaborations in Japan. She enjoys working with a wide range of colors, and draws inspiration from Impressionism and contemporary art. Her work explores the space between abstraction and representation, as she continues to search for a form of expression that feels true to herself

NATSU MATSURI at WPÜ HAKONE.

8月16日（土）、WPÜ HAKONEのフロント前で、夏の1日限定イベントを開催。

テーマは「かき氷」と「ZINE」。
WPÜ HAKONEオリジナルの葡萄シロップや、UMA Lab（）による果実たっぷりのマンゴーやグレープフルーツのシロップで仕上げた、ここでしか味わえない特製かき氷を提供します（13:00 - 18:00）。

同時開催のZINEワークショップ（12:00 - 18:00）では、KOLA（）が企画・参加。
自分だけの“旅の記録”を1冊にまとめるミニZINEが制作可能です。POPUP限定のシールや写真プリント、日本語ネームレッスン付きで、海外ゲストも参加OK。参加費は500円。
当日はKOLAのオリジナルアイテムに加え、ゆかりのあるスリランカやインドのプロダクトも販売予定。自然を感じるアイテムをぜひ手に取ってみてください。

On Saturday, August 16, a one-day summer pop-up event will be held in front of the WPÜ HAKONE front desk.
The theme: Shaved Ice & ZINE.

Enjoy special shaved ice made with original grape syrup from WPÜ HAKONE, as well as rich mango and grapefruit syrups crafted by UMA Lab (). Available from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
At the same time, a ZINE workshop will take place from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, hosted by KOLA ().

Create your own personal travel journal—a mini ZINE filled with your memories.

You’ll also get to use exclusive pop-up stickers, print a photo on the spot, and join a mini Japanese name-writing session. Perfect for international guests. Participation fee: ¥500.

Art Exhibition: “SANCTUARY” by Kazumi

7月5日 (土) から 7月31日 (木)、俳優・ナレーター・写真家のKazumi (.photopage) による展示「SANCTUARY」を開催。

M型ライカとオールドレンズで綴られたセルフポートレートと風景の融合。箱根の隠された「聖域」を深く詩的なマリアージュで描く。

From Saturday, July 5 to Thursday, July 31, we will be hosting ‘SANCTUARY,’ a solo exhibition by actor, narrator, and photographer Kazumi (.photopage).

This exhibition showcases a fusion of self-portraits and landscapes captured with an M-type Leica and old lenses. A deep and poetic marriage of the hidden “sanctuary” of Hakone.

Art Exhibition: "From Orient to Oriental"

東洋哲学と美意識を基盤に、独自の表現を追求した2人のアーティスト、Bu ZiとYi Yenによる展示 "From Orient to Oriental" をEMBLEM FLOW HAKONEで開催。Bu Ziは書の伝統を現代的な荒書スタイルに昇華させ、超越性を探求。一方、Yi Yenは日常の詩的な瞬間を金属と光で表現し、変化の中に静寂を見出す作品を生み出しています。東洋の伝統と現代が織りなすアートの世界をぜひお楽しみください。

The exhibition "From Orient to Oriental," featuring the works of two artists, Bu Zi and Yi Yen, is now on display at EMBLEM FLOW HAKONE. Rooted in Eastern philosophy and aesthetics, both artists explore unique forms of expression. Bu Zi transforms the traditions of calligraphy into a modern "wild scribble" style, seeking transcendence. Meanwhile, Yi Yen captures poetic moments from daily life, using metal and light to create works that find stillness amidst change. Immerse yourself in an artistic world where Eastern traditions and modernity beautifully converge.

Bu Zi (1959 - 2013):

台南・慈心寮出身。本名Chen Zhong Shen。東洋の書を基盤とし、独自の「荒書」スタイルで超越性を表現。東洋哲学の「技術と道」を探求し、古典的手法を現代に適用。独創性と自己表現を体現した。

Born Chen Zhong Shen in Ci-Xin Liao, Tainan, Bu Zi built his art on oriental calligraphy, creating a unique “wild scribble” style to express transcendence. Drawing from oriental philosophy, he pursued “Technique and Dao” by blending classical methods with contemporary contexts, fulfilling his vision of subjective and innovative creation.

Yi Yen (1971 -):

台湾彰化生まれ。バルセロナで現代ジュエリーデザインを学び、台南で応用芸術を修める。ジェーン・アダムらに師事し、独自のスタイルを確立。日常の詩的瞬間を金属で表現し、光と空間の調和を追求。変化の中の静寂を映し出す創作を通じて無限を描く。

Born in Changhua, Taiwan, Yi Yen studied contemporary jewelry design in Barcelona and pursued applied arts in Tainan. Mentored by Jane Adam and Lin Witford, she developed her unique style rooted in metalwork. Inspired by poetic moments in daily life, she transforms them into artworks that explore light, space, and stillness. Her creations reflect a search for serenity within change, where light embodies infinity.
