5月3日、今年も「はかた松囃子」が無事執り行われました！
少し小雨が降る中での開催となりましたが、街は今年もお祭りの活気に包まれていました✨

今年は台湾・中国・スペイン出身のスタッフも初参加。
日本の伝統的な神事や文化に興味津々で、とても貴重な体験となりました😊

On May 3rd, the traditional Hakata Matsubayashi festival was successfully held again this year!
Although there was a light rain, the city was still filled with festive energy and excitement ✨

This year, staff members from Taiwan, China, and Spain joined the festival for the first time.
They were fascinated by the traditional rituals and Japanese culture, making it a truly special experience for everyone 😊

On April 11th, we hosted a “Uchiwa × Warabi Mochi” event 🌿

Participants expressed themselves by creating their own original uchiwa fans, naturally sparking conversations and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout the venue.
Everyone was also very curious about how to make warabi mochi, making it a meaningful opportunity to share a part of Japanese culture together.

WeBase HAKATA offers an exclusive cultural experience for our staying guests.

Join a guided walking tour through Hakata’s historic old town, followed by a hands-on cooking experience where you will make traditional Japanese onigiri (rice balls) and miso soup.
This is a great opportunity to experience Japanese culture in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

満開は3月31日ごろの予想です。

毎年多くの人で賑わう舞鶴公園をはじめ、
西公園や海の中道海浜公園、そして当館近くの櫛田神社でも
美しい桜を楽しめます。

1年でいちばん過ごしやすいこの季節、
ぜひ福岡で春を感じてみてください🌸✨

Cherry blossoms in Fukuoka have started to bloom 🌸
They are expected to reach full bloom around March 31.

You can enjoy beautiful sakura at popular spots like Maizuru Park,
as well as Nishi Park, Uminonakamichi Seaside Park,
and Kushida Shrine near our hostel.

博多小学校の男の子が名付けてくれた
「ニャーピー（Nyapy）」という愛称とともに、
今では博多の街に愛されるパブリックアートになりました🎨

Meet the guardian of travelers — SHIP’S CAT🐈✨

Inspired by the legendary “seafaring cats” that once protected ships and sailors,
this symbolic artwork was created by contemporary Japanese artist Kenji Yanobe.

From Hakata — one of Japan’s oldest port towns —
SHIP’S CAT quietly watches over travelers from all around the world 🌍

WeBase began in Kamakura and has since expanded to Hakata, Kyoto, Takamatsu, and Hiroshima.
While every WeBase has its own SHIP’S CAT,
the very first one was born right here at WeBase HAKATA.

Lovingly nicknamed “Nyapy” by a local elementary school boy,
it has grown into a beloved piece of public art in the Hakata community 🎨

A unique story and artwork you can only experience here —
