Position: Kitchen Hand (with a Passion for Desserts)
Location: Canopy Restaurant, Cortina, Hakuba
Accommodation: Provided in Tsugaike
Season: Dec Start to Mid-March 2024
Hourly Rate: Competitive compensation
Schedule: 5-6 afternoons/evenings per week
Team Size: Collaborate with a flexible, supportive team of 5

Your Role:
As our Kitchen Hand, you’ll be fully involved in all aspects of cooking and preparation, supporting a versatile kitchen that values flexibility. If you’re passionate about desserts, you’ll have the chance to manage our dessert menu, with 7 signature desserts – one for each day of the week. Experience as a pastry chef is a bonus, but a passion for learning and creating is what we value most!
Restaurant Concept: Our next chapter – Fire & Ferment – combines the art of cooking over coals, smoking, and fermentation, with ingredients sourced and preserved from the Hakuba region. Each night, we serve dishes that tell a flavorful story in a warm, welcoming setting.
Who We’re Looking For:
❄️ Experience: Prior experience with any cooking within a commercial cooking space (not just at home!)
