Appreciation post! 📢 We’re thrilled to share that we’ve officially taken over this cozy lodge from the wonderful Fukunaga-san and his wife, Noriko-san. They’ve been running it since 1975, and Fukunaga-san has spent over 30 years guiding adventurers through the mountains of Hakuba. 🗺️

Every afternoon, we’ve had the pleasure of sitting down with them for tea and biscuits, generously served by Noriko-san. ☕️🍪 We’ve also had fun swapping omiyage — from freshly baked brown butter chocolate miso cookies (Noriko-san loves miso!) to Tim Tams because they both have a sweet tooth! 🍫 Hearing their stories about how they built this place has been truly inspiring, and we’re so grateful for their kindness and the insight into their lives. We can’t wait to make them proud with the new memories we’ll create here. Stay tuned! ✨
