It is with some sadness, I somewhat recently heard news of the passing of one of my all-time favorite Japanese actors, Nishida Toshiyuki.

Nishida's role in the TV-drama series, Tsuri-Baka Nisshi (Crazy About Fishing - Diary) gave me insights into Japanese life and culture. And almost literally, gave me hope that I could return to Japan, live here and be myself .. even if bucking the stream somewhat, so to speak.

So I give him homage, for making me welcome to be here even if not quite fitting in, these thirty years in Japan since returning in 1994.

Japanese actor Nishida Toshiyuki, who was known for performing wide-ranging roles in popular film and drama, has died at the age of 76. He was found collapsed at his home in Tokyo on Thursday. Police are investigating details.

先週の土曜日、地元の大工さんに来てもらい、母屋とシェアハウスの間にあった壁を撤去しました！
ここにはアコーディオンドアを入れる予定ですが、すっきりしました。
シェアハウスの個室はぽかぽかで暖かいですよ。
初期費用の負担が少なく、リーズナブルな家賃の部屋を探している方をご存知でしたら、ご紹介くださいね。

昨日は、メープルロッジでのケルト音楽道場を初めて行いましたが、そこそこの人数の参加者様に来ていただけました。ありがとうございます。
今後も月１回くらいのペースで開催したいと思っております。

メープル・ロッジ入居に際して、かかる初期費用などについて。
ワンルームも、シェアハウスも、敷金を室料の０.５ヶ月分。これは特に酷い破損などがなければ退去時にお返しします。
あと０.５ヶ月分、退去後の鍵交換とハウスクリーニング費用を頂きます。
ねこを飼いたいという方はねこ敷金としてさらに０.５ヶ月分お願いします。これも、退去時に特に酷い破損などがなければお返しします。
敷金は綺麗にお部屋を使っていただくための前払い補償金と思ってください。
あとは１ヶ月分の室料と光熱費等の費用は前払いになります。

２月１２日月曜（振替休日）に、メープル・ロッジにて、管理人の一人であるJim Ediger 主催のケルト音楽道場（ワークショップ＆スロー・セッション）を行います。
１８：００〜２０：００　参加費３,０００円。
弾ける楽器がある方なら誰でも参加できます。
課題曲は講師が用意しますが、参加者からのリクエストも大歓迎。ギターなどの伴奏楽器の方向けには、コード進行などの提案も。
