Dear all guests,
Spring letter from Hotel Granvia Hiroshima. Hi, I'm Kayo Nishimoto from PR department. Those pictures were taken a week ago at the river bank of Peace Memorial Park. They were almost full bloom at that time. Some were having picnics! We never imagined the COVID pandemic lasts this long, but the season is changing.
Today, April 8th, many of the schools in Hiroshima are holding entrance ceremonies. I hope best wishes for you and school kids for this new school & fiscal year 2022!

Happy Holidays! Hi, I'm Kayo Nishimoto from PR department. Our 2021 Christmas tree is displayed in our hotel lobby. It is decorated with gold ornaments as we had the Tokyo Olympics this year.

Dear all guests, Here is our April's letter from Hotel Granvia Hiroshima. Hi, I'm Kayo Nishimoto from PR department. I hope this letter finds you all well in this situation. The Miyajima's famous floating torii gate has still been under repair but it does attract many visitors. The whole of Itsukushima Shrine and the gate are lit up at night. It looked solemn and mysterious. The view of the top of Mt. Misen with the The Seto Inland Sea is also worth visiting.

Dear all guests, here is our December's letter from Hotel Granvia Hiroshima.
Happy holidays to you and your family! Hi, I'm Kayo Nishimoto from PR department. The current 's famous floating torii gate was completed in 1875. It's been 140 years! It's now covered up by a partially transparent scaffolding. A date for the completion of the renovation works has not been announced yet; however, it looks special, doesn't it? I hope the work will have been done by the time everyone can travel around the world freely.

Merry Christmas to you and your family! Hi, I'm Kayo Nishimoto from PR department. Our 2020 Christmas tree was lit in our hotel lobby on Nov. 17th ! The tree is decorated with white, gold ornaments, and angels. 2020 is an unprecedented year for all of us. Even though we may not be able to enjoy our Christmas as usual, I hope we can still dream together. Is your Christmas tree up yet?

Hi, I'm Kayo Nishimoto from PR department. is just around the corner. Our hotel has Halloween decorations for 2020 at the hotel lobby! Find the witch, black cat, and spider! No costumes to put on for a shot to prevent from spreading COVID-19 though. Like so many other special occasions and events, the 2020 edition of the spookiest day of the year looks a little different due to the pandemic but we hope everyone can enjoy the Halloween as safely as possible. Happy Halloween!!

【🐦Handmade paper crane garland✨】
Dear all guests who canceled your trip to Japan due to COVID-19. Here is our August's letter from Hotel Granvia Hiroshima.
Luckily I got on the HIROSHIMA PEACE TRAIN - a streetcar-summer wrapping car the other day. Look at those handmade colorful paper crane garlands hung from the hand rail! I felt so calm as I was looking at them. According to Hiroshima Electric Railway, those cranes were folded with prayer for peace by local workers in Hiroshima .It's the 75th summer after the A-bomb. This train with paper crane garlands will be operated till Aug. 31st. We hope we will meet all of you here in Hiroshima next summer.

Dear all guests who had to cancel your trip to Japan due to the current situation. Here is our June's letter from Hotel Granvia Hiroshima.
"Star festival", takes place on July 7th. On Tanabata, usually people write wishes on small pieces of colored paper called tanzaku and hang them on bamboo trees; however, because of COVID-19, those tanzaku papers are not available this year. We hope all the wishes your heart desires to come true. What do you wish on the stars?

Dear all guests who canceled your trip to Japan due to COVID-19. Here is our May's letter from Hotel Granvia Hiroshima. Shukkeien , which was built as a daimyo garden in 1620, is located in the center of Hiroshima city. They reopened on 5/12. They have a handsanitizer station, a health questionaire, and check our body temparetures before entering the garden. Shukkeien, how magnificent the place is! Bright green, emerald green, and lime green etc..are exactly what Japanese beauty is. Some streams and the pond sure ease tensions and stress. A few Hiroshima local visitors were there after lifting the emergency. Stay safe and take care of yourself.

Dear all who canceled your trip to Japan due to COVID-19. Let us show you how Cherry blossoms look like here. Blossoms . Futaba. Every spring, some trees of this mountain turn pink! At the top of it, all of the cherry trees were in full bloom. Cherry trees along Enko river are blooming too. We Japanese are restricted to have a viewing party under the tree, which we always do this time every year, to avoid infection, some people stopped and took pictures.
It's not all doom and gloom. Flowers are flourishing everywhere as usual.
May our lives be full of joy and happiness this time next year.
We look forward to serving you all next spring!!
