Have been having a great season here in Hakuba. Huge amounts of snow and very happy guests.
With around a 100cms of snow forecast to fall over the next few days our visitors here for Chinese New Year will have fantastic conditions!

🇯🇵 Official: Japan will allow visa-free individual travel starting October 11 and without intermediary agencies. You can freely travel around Japan without any restriction which is great news!
After 2 winter seasons without international guests we are looking forward to welcoming tourists back.

The ski season has finally come to an end with the resorts closing yesterday.
It has been a challenging season due to the large amount of snow that fell but it provided great conditions for the guests that were able to visit.
Spring has been lovely with warm weather in the valley and fun conditions for skiing on the upper slopes of the ski resorts.
Although the borders are currently closed for tourists it has been announce that Japan will ease its border controls measures soon and restrictions gradually reduced in stages.
As yet no exact dates or details of the stages have been provided by the government but we are hopeful that we will be welcoming international guests again in the the 2022/23 winter season!

Had a fun day today seeing the famous Kurobe Dam and snow walls at the Tateyama Kurobe Alpen Route. With snow depth of up to 18 meters at present and accessed by cable car, ropeway and trolly bus it is worthwhile visiting while staying in Hakuba!

Many families currently in Hakuba enjoying this beautiful long weekend.
A great day was had by all up on the slopes but for many(especially the kids) the most enjoyable time was returning back to Hakuba Grand to spend the evening on the sledding course.
Many new friendships were made and even when the sun went down the kids stayed outside playing well past their dinner time.

Lovely weather in Hakuba today. With the amount of snow that has consistently fallen this season it is nice to get some warm sunshine.
Even the monkeys visited Hakuba Grand today to enjoy the sun!
