Just 30 minutes away from the center of Osaka is one of the oldest onsen inns, Fushioukaku of Fushio Onsen♨.

More and more tourists are attracted by a traditional Japanese inn, “Ryokan”. However, recently, many ryokan have less employees and thus they can’t serve a meal in a guestroom. This is so disappointing for many tourists.
Of course, you must want to enjoy Japan, free from your hectic days, with your family and somebody to love. Having a meal at a specific space will be challenging especially if you have a small child, won’t it?

Fushi-okaku, following our 80-year history, serves a meal in your guestroom. Seasonal and traditional “kaiseki” food will be available in your room; there you can command great mountains over the meal with somebody you love.
Of course, it’s also great to visit our restaurant which is so spacious and beautiful. Where you eat is totally up to you!

Just 30 minutes away from the center of Osaka is one of the oldest onsen inns, Fushioukaku of Fushio Onsen♨.

Takarazuka is full of romantic mood and surrounded by beautiful nature; various cultures including theater performance and comics are a part of this place and thus it’s a mecca of the Japanese culture of great uniqueness attracting people all over the world.

Hana-no-michi is the way to Takarazuka Grand Theater from Takarazuka Sta.Along with the way are various seasonal flowers, enjoying you with their nicest fragrance. Especially in April, an arch of cherry blossoms makes a bridge in the sky. There are also statues of the legendary stars and beautiful arts including Takarazuka Sumire Yume Tokei; the romantic atmosphere is so photogenic!

Approximately 10-minute walk from the station takes you to the Takarazuka Grand Theater!
This theater is the capital of Takarazuka R***e, whose history is over 100-year long. The performance is fantastically beautiful and luxurious. As you know, no actor belongs to Takarazuka R***e, only actresses, which makes this performance group much unique. There are 5 troupes, Flower, Moon, Snow, Star and Cosmos, and they wow the audience all over the world through the performance featuring some historical events in foreign countries or Japan.

There is another mecca of culture: THE OSAMU TEZUKA MANGA MUSEUM
Osamu Tezuka is a man who is called “the god of manga (comic)” and produced various masterpieces like Mighty Atom, Black Jack, Jungle Emperor (Jungle Taitei) and more. Actually, he spent his youth in Takarazuka until he was 24 years old. In the museum are various articles and materials to prove his achievement and greatness, including some precious ones like his essay written in his elementary-school days and original drawings; also, you can read over 2,000 pieces of his for free. You will be immersed in the Tezuka World through unique experience in “Animation studio”, by the great monument of Phoenix, on maintenance holes whose design is a character of his masterpieces and in more photogenic pieces.

If you visit Takarazuka after our inn, Fushi-okaku, take a train at Ikeda Sta. This will take you to Takarazuka Sta., or the mecca of Japanese culture, just in 15 minutes!

Everything changes its looks when a season passes by in Japan. It’s so springy and warming breeze comes in this city, Osaka. Now, the onsen inn just 30-minute away from Umeda, Fushi-okaku, is full of cherry blossoms. The almost 100 trees show off the cherry blossoms fully to make the whole scene pink, and the contrast with the red bridge and the pink is so beautiful. And you can watch them on the water when they drop off.
At night, a Japanese lantern lights up the cherry blossoms mysteriously and they are so fantastic under the moon. Our open-air bathes also can command such cherry blossoms, which will relax your body and mind perfectly. Wash*tsu, or Japanese-styled room, is matted with “tatami”, which is material made by rush grass. The room with fusuma and shoji (Japanese-style slide door or window) reptesents the Japanese beauty and wabi-sabi🤩. With your shoes off, step on the tatami-matted floor by your bare foot to feel the nature. Tatami makes you feel it’s chilling in Summer, warming in Winter.

The regular Japanese-style rooms of Fushi-okaku are almost 22 square-meter large. They command Satsuki-yama of seasonal features. Let’s breathe and feel the nature in the mountains.😌

If you are looking for a perfect place to watch in Osaka, it will be Osaka Castle🏯, won’t it?

Osaka Castle, located in the center of Osaka, is built by one of the most famous tycoons in Japan, Hideyoshi Toyotomi. This castle is well-known as “Golden Castle” for the interior and exterior made by gold😎. The Osaka Castle park is 105.6-hectare large, featuring almost 3,000 trees of various cherry blossoms. Just 30 minutes away from the center of Osaka is one of the oldest onsen inns, Fushioukaku of Fushio Onsen♨.

Nosé-myokenzan is one of the most beautiful mountains, which is located across Hyogo and Osaka. Its “Myoken-no-mori” is the mecca of the North Star and features seasonal landscapes!

In spring, the mountains of Myoken-no-mori show off the most beautiful nature, featuring various kinds of cherry blossoms. There are several courses from the base to the top, and our recommend for novices is to take a cable car from Kurokawa Sta. The archaic cable car commands full-blown cherry blossoms through the window.

Upon arriving at Sanjo Sta., take a walk to Fureai Hiroba, where you can relax yourself at a café surrounded by fresh air and woods. If you visit in the late June, you can watch hydrangea as well. It’s nice to command the landscape of the mountains while having a break.

There are several perfect spots to enjoy cherry blossoms like Sakura-dani, Edohigan-gunraku, Deaino-myo-o, Edohigan-no-komichi and so on, where you can feel it breezes under the Sun.

If you feel hungry, let’s visit BBQ area, where you can enjoy local beef of great quality and fresh vegetable, surrounded by woods. And you can’t miss “Sakura-gawa Cider”, which is a specialty of Nosé as well; it’s so nice watching the cherry blossoms dancing with the cider.

On the top of the mountain is the main shrine of Nosé-myokenzan and artistic building named “Seirei”, both of which are so photogenic!

From Fushi-oukaku, it’s just 20 minutes to the station of the cable car at the base by car. If you take a train, get on at Hankyu Ikeda Sta., transfer at Kawanishi Nosé-guchi Sta. on Nosé Denkyu Myoken Line and get off at Myoken-guchi Sta. before taking 20-minute walk to the cable-car station. Lava is one of the perfect materials to serve food. By heating one, lava emits a great deal of far-infrared radiation, which conveys the heat into the food. Thus, heating for a short time prevents the taste and nutrition of foods from loss.
Plus, as lava is porous, the small holes catch fat oozed from food. The fat is not heated too much, which emits less smoke and clears the taste. The unique taste of food is condensed, and you will find the juiciness of meat in your mouth upon biting a piece.

It’s still chilling, but sometimes it feels like spring is coming soon.
What we should do in spring is watching cherry blossoms. So, where? How about one of the 100 greatest places to watch cherry blossoms🌸 in Japan, Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in Osaka?

To go from our inn to the park, let’s take a train at Ikeda Sta. and change trains at Hotaru-ike to ride Osaka Monorail, which goes to Expo ’70 Commemorative Park.

In front of the station is a whole scene covered with cherry blossoms and the symbol of the park, the Tower of the Sun, and in the park are 5,500 trees of cherry blossoms of 9 kinds😍.
What you should visit first after entering the park is “Higashi-oji”, along which trees of cherry blossoms are lined. The pedals of cherry blossoms dances like clouds or snow, and the scene made by the contrast of the pedal, the blue sky and the white Tower of the Sun is so picturesque. Let’s take a rest on the lawn along the walking path to have a lunch under the cherry blossoms😌.

The north area of the park is a Japanese-styled garden designed with traditional gardening techniques and expertise unique to Japan. The cherry blossoms bring the Japanese culture. In the west area, pedals drop from branches onto the stream, which brings also the sense of Japan.

A famous animal in Australia, wombat, was made to evacuate from the forest fire to burrows. In Japan are 6 wombats, and 4 of whom are in SATSUKIYAMA-ZOO in Ikeda-shi, Osaka.

SATSUKI-YAMA ZOO is a small zoo located in Satsukiyama Park in Ikeda-shi, and it’s free of charge. This small but famous zoo attracts 500,000 visitors a year.
Among various animals there, one of the most popular one is wombats, whose cute eye, flat nose and fluffy body are all cuddlesome🥰. The character is so friendly that everybody loves them and their... square p**p as well?
Wombats have been loved for a long time as ambassador of friendship of Ikeda-shi.

A drop of rain or thawed snow❄ comes into the spa, where v***r rises and a cold wind🌬 makes it dance.
The chilled air makes the atmosphere perfect to enjoy Japanese onsen.
Japan has a long history related to spas, and various beautiful hot spring resorts are located nationwide🗾.
However, have you known a good way to enjoy such onsen perfectly? Some bad ways may even affect your health adversely! Now, let’s check the how-to😉!

1. Drink water before and after taking a bath: Taking a bath makes you sweat much, which may cause blood clotting, leading to numb, fatigue or dehydration. Don’t forget to drink water before and after taking a bath.
2. Clean your body and pour hot water over yourself beforehand: Clean your body first and pour hot water over yourself to adjust the warmth.
3. Put a towel on your head: Staying in the bath too long may cause dizziness. To prevent this, put a chilled towel on your head when taking a bath inside or open air bath in summer, while a warm towel when taking an open air bath in winter.
4. Don’t stay in the bath too long: It’s better to enjoy foot bath, hip bath and then deep bathing to reduce the adverse effect of water pressure, temperature and ingredients of the spa on your body.
5. Don’t take a shower after the bath: Leave the ingredients of spa on your skin will keep your body moisturized and warm. Just dry off by a towel. (However, you should take a shower if the ingredients are strong (perhaps for acid).)
