🌴【営業のお知らせ / Restaurant Update】🌴

こんにちは。Sky Ocean Restaurantです。

台風が過ぎ、おかげさまでホテル・レストランともに大きな被害はありませんでした。 たくさんの温かいメッセージやお気遣いをいただき、本当にありがとうございます。

現在も停電が続いているため、本日のランチ営業はお休みとさせていただきます。 ディナー営業については、停電の復旧状況を確認したうえで決定し、改めてお知らせいたします。

スタッフ全員でホテルとレストランの片付けや清掃を行い、一日でも早く安心して皆さまをお迎えできるよう準備を進めています。

営業再開まで今しばらくお待ちください。 また皆さまにお会いできる日を、スタッフ一同楽しみにしております。🌺

Typhoon has now passed, and we're grateful that both our hotel and restaurant escaped without any major damage. Thank you so much for all your kind messages and support.

As we are still experiencing a power outage, lunch service is closed today.

Dinner service has not yet been decided and will depend on when power is restored. We will share another update as soon as possible.

Our entire team is currently cleaning and preparing the hotel and restaurant so we can welcome our guests back as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to seeing you again very soon. 🌺

台風9号の接近に伴い、お客様とスタッフの安全を最優先に考え、7月10日（金）・11日（土）は宿泊者様限定で営業いたします。

7月12日（日）以降は、台風の進路や被害状況、安全確認の結果によっては、営業を見合わせる場合がございます。最新の営業状況は、Instagramにて随時ご案内いたします。

石垣島では、台風は自然とともに暮らす上で避けられないものですが、何よりも大切なのは皆さまの安全です。

台風が過ぎ去り、また穏やかな青い海と美しい夕日を眺めながら、皆さまを笑顔でお迎えできる日をスタッフ一同、心より楽しみにしております。🌊🌺

🌺 Notice of Temporary Business Hours 🌺

Hello from Sky Ocean Restaurant.

As Typhoon No. 9 approaches, the safety of our guests and staff is our highest priority. Therefore, on July 10 (Fri) and July 11 (Sat), the restaurant will be open exclusively for our in-house guests.

From July 12 (Sun) onward, we may remain temporarily closed depending on the typhoon's path, the extent of any damage, and the results of our safety inspections. We will continue to provide updates on our Instagram as the situation develops.

Living on Ishigaki Island means learning to live alongside nature, and typhoons are a part of island life. Above all, we hope everyone stays safe.

We look forward to welcoming you back with warm island hospitality, beautiful blue seas, and breathtaking sunsets once the storm has passed. 🌊🌺

🐔🌿 Chicken Coop Project – First Step Done!

Our first chicken coop area was finalized a few days ago, and thanks to Hanatani Farm, we already have four chickens (well… three visible, one clearly prefers privacy 😄) enjoying their new space.

💧 The water comes directly from a river in the jungle behind the farm.
It’s simply filtered for sand, nothing more. That means fresh, clean, and mineral-rich water for them… probably better than what most of us drink.

🍽️ For feeding, we’re aiming for a balanced and fairly natural approach:
・1/3 food scraps from the kitchen
・1/3 insects and whatever they can find in the soil around the farm
・1/3 quality grain

The idea is to let them behave like chickens, not machines.

🌱 If this experiment works well, the plan is to expand to around 40 chickens.
That should allow us to produce enough eggs for the restaurant and for the team, while staying within a small-scale, controlled system.

Still early days, but it’s a good start.

🐔🌿 鶏小屋プロジェクト – 第一段階完了！

数日前に、最初の鶏小屋エリアが完成しました。
そして花谷ファームさんのおかげで、すでに4羽（1羽はどこかに隠れてますね😄）の鶏たちがこの場所を楽しんでいます。

💧 水は農園の裏にあるジャングルの川から直接引いています。
砂だけを軽くろ過しているだけなので、とてもフレッシュで質の良い水です。たぶん人間よりいい水飲んでますね。

🍽️ エサはできるだけ自然に近い形を目指しています：
・1/3 キッチンの食べ残し
・1/3 土の中や周りにいる虫や自然のもの
・1/3 質の良い穀物

鶏らしく生きてもらう、というのがコンセプトです。

🌱 この実験がうまくいけば、将来的には約40羽まで増やす予定です。
レストランとスタッフ用の卵を、無理のない規模でまかなえるようにしたいと考えています。

まだ始まったばかりですが、なかなか良いスタートです。
