🐔🌿 Chicken Coop Project – First Step Done!
Our first chicken coop area was finalized a few days ago, and thanks to Hanatani Farm, we already have four chickens (well… three visible, one clearly prefers privacy 😄) enjoying their new space.
💧 The water comes directly from a river in the jungle behind the farm.
It’s simply filtered for sand, nothing more. That means fresh, clean, and mineral-rich water for them… probably better than what most of us drink.
🍽️ For feeding, we’re aiming for a balanced and fairly natural approach:
・1/3 food scraps from the kitchen
・1/3 insects and whatever they can find in the soil around the farm
・1/3 quality grain
The idea is to let them behave like chickens, not machines.
🌱 If this experiment works well, the plan is to expand to around 40 chickens.
That should allow us to produce enough eggs for the restaurant and for the team, while staying within a small-scale, controlled system.
Still early days, but it’s a good start.

🐔🌿 鶏小屋プロジェクト – 第一段階完了！
数日前に、最初の鶏小屋エリアが完成しました。
そして花谷ファームさんのおかげで、すでに4羽（1羽はどこかに隠れてますね😄）の鶏たちがこの場所を楽しんでいます。
💧 水は農園の裏にあるジャングルの川から直接引いています。
砂だけを軽くろ過しているだけなので、とてもフレッシュで質の良い水です。たぶん人間よりいい水飲んでますね。
🍽️ エサはできるだけ自然に近い形を目指しています：
・1/3 キッチンの食べ残し
・1/3 土の中や周りにいる虫や自然のもの
・1/3 質の良い穀物
鶏らしく生きてもらう、というのがコンセプトです。
🌱 この実験がうまくいけば、将来的には約40羽まで増やす予定です。
レストランとスタッフ用の卵を、無理のない規模でまかなえるようにしたいと考えています。
まだ始まったばかりですが、なかなか良いスタートです。
