Pleasure Company, Ltd., a hotel and resort management company (Head office: Ishigaki city. CEO: Momiyama Yutaka), opens a new resort hotel, “JUSANDI,” on Ishigaki Island in Okinawa Prefecture in spring 2013.
“JUSANDI,” a new luxury resort hotel, will be opened on Ishigaki Island of the Yaeyama Islands, the southernmost resort area in Japan, 400 kilometers from the main island of Okinawa. In the Okinawan dialect “jusandi” means “dusk;” it connotes a healing and sensitizing of the heart via exposure to primeval forests. We hope that our guests from home and abroad will enjoy their stay with us, not only because of our meals and service but also of their exposure to Yaegaki Islands’ customs, culture and nature. Amid a sub-tropical forest stands a white-walled resort consisting of only five luxury villas. Under a sky showing 84 constellations (the largest number in the country) the entire resort is surrounded by a cerulean ocean and coral reefs. Serpent eagles and cuora flavomarginata, national treasures, are seen against the beauty of Ryukyu Limestones.
