THE SHIKAKAから歩いてわずか30秒。
目の前に広がるのは、全国的にも極めて珍しい「鳴き砂」の海岸、姉子の浜です。

歩くと「キュッキュッ」と音が鳴ることで知られる鳴き砂ですが、実はいつでも鳴るわけではありません。
砂の乾燥具合や湿度など、いくつかの自然条件が重なった時にだけ、その美しい音色を聴かせてくれます。

豊かな海と静かな時間が共存するこの鹿家（しかか）の地。
私たちは、土地の名前そのものに宿る時間や記憶をそのまま未来へつないでいきたいという想いから、地域主導で行われている海岸清掃活動にこれまで参加して参りました。

当館にご滞在の際は、ぜひ浜辺をゆっくりとお散歩してみてください。

Just a 30-second walk from THE SHIKAKA lies Anego Beach, one of Japan's rare coastal stretches renowned for its "singing sands."

While famous for making a squeaking sound beneath your feet, the sand doesn't sing every day. It reveals its gentle melody only when specific natural conditions—such as sand dryness, wind, and tide—align perfectly.

Here in Shikaka, where the bountiful ocean and deep tranquility coexist, we wish to help preserve the memory and history embedded in this land for future generations. In support of this, our team has regularly participated in community-led beach cleanup initiatives.
