戦国の熱が、今も呼子に受け継がれている。
呼子大綱引は、
豊臣秀吉が肥前名護屋城に陣をかまえていたころ、
軍船の網を用いて人々に引かせたことが始まりと伝えられています。
加藤清正や福島正則ら武将たちが集ったこの地に、
力強い掛け声と活気が満ちていた。
潮風に揺れる法被、
波音に重なる人々の声、
港町を包む熱気。
長い時を越えて、
今もこの土地の誇りとして受け継がれている祭りです。
そして6月7日の朝には、
大望閣にて岡組による餅まきも開催されます。
玄海の風を感じながら、
賑わいあふれる朝をお楽しみください。
The spirit of the Sengoku era still lives on in Yobuko today.
The Yobuko Giant Tug-of-War
is said to have begun when Toyotomi Hideyoshi
camped at Hizen Nagoya Castle,
using nets from military ships as ropes for people to pull.
In this land where warlords such as
Kato Kiyomasa and Fukushima Masanori once gathered,
the air was filled with powerful chants and energy.
Happi coats fluttering in the sea breeze,
voices layered with the sound of waves,
and the vibrant excitement of the harbor town.
Across generations,
this festival continues as a proud tradition of the region.
And on the morning of June 7,
a traditional mochi throwing event
by Okagumi will also be held at Taiboukaku.
Feel the breeze of Genkai
and enjoy the lively spirit of the morning.
