There’s only half a month left in 2019! How are you spending the New Year holidays ⁉️
In Japan, there is a custom of looking at the first sunrise in the morning of January 1, when the year has changed.

Kobe is close to the mountains and the sea, and there are many locations in the area where the first sunrise is easy to see. The Rokko Island Marine Park which is a 10-minute walk from the hotel is a famous spot to witness the first sunrise.
The time of the first sunrise in Kobe is at 7:06AM. If the weather is good and a 180-degree view of the sea is visible, you can enjoy the first sunrise like a photograph!

The morning will be very chilly, so be sure to take measures against the cold and enjoy the first sunrise!

The annually held huge event “Kobe Luminarie” is coming this year!

The 25th “Kobe Luminarie” of this year is going to be held from December 6th!
The event will be set up in the “Kyukyoryuchi” (former foreign settlement) , Higashi-Yuenchi Park, Kobe City same as last year.
As the special high light of 25th “Kobe Luminarie”, from Itomachisuji Road to the whole block on its east will be designated as a “Memorial Zone”. A wall-shaped work made of incandescent bulbs will be deployed for the first time!
It is only about 50 minutes by train from our hotel, so why don’t you go to enjoy this great event along with your visit to our hotel.
