The serene courtyard corridor leading guests up to the hotel entrance was deliberately designed with its markedly low ceiling to remain in keeping with the traditional architecture of the surrounding Ninenzaka townhouses, and so blend seamlessly into the cherished historical aesthetic of Higashiyama.
