京都五山送り火（ごさんおくりび）は、お盆（盂蘭盆会）の最終日にあたる2025年8月16日（土）20:00から行われる京都の伝統行事です。京都市を囲む五つの山に巨大な火文字や形を灯し、先祖の霊を冥界へ送り届ける儀式です。
· 点火スケジュール
送り火は5分おきに順次点火されます：
大文字（だいもんじ）：20:00
妙法（みょうほう）：20:05
舟形（ふながた）：20:10
左大文字（ひだりだいもんじ）：20:15
鳥居形（とりいがた）：20:20
各火形は約30分間燃え続け、20:30前後には5つ全てを同時に観ることが可能です。

鴨川河畔（丸太町～出町柳間）
北山通・高野川沿い（妙法）
西大路通（金閣寺付近）（左大文字）
渡月橋や広沢池周辺（鳥居形）

· Schedule & Sequence
The bonfires are ignited one by one every 5 minutes as follows:
Daimonji (“Great”): 20:00
Myo-Ho (“Wondrous Dharma”): 20:05
Funagata (“Boat-shaped”): 20:10
Hidari Daimonji (“Left Great”): 20:15
Toriigata (Torii gate shape): 20:20

Each burns for approximately 30 minutes. Around 8:30 PM, all five fires can be seen simultaneously from central vantage.

開催は8月16日　午後8時点火
Start at August 16th 20:00

夏の夜空を彩る「京都五山送り火」は、お盆の精霊を送る伝統行事です。東山に大の字が浮かび上がり、続いて、松ケ崎に妙・法、西賀茂に船形、大北山に左大文字、そして、嵯峨に鳥居形が点ります。これら５つの送り火はすべて京都市登録無形民俗文化財です。
（点火時間は各山とも約30分間。気象条件によっては点火時刻を変更する場合もあります）

The "Kyoto Gozan Okuribi" is a traditional event to send off the spirits of the Bon Festival. The first five bonfires are the "Dainogata" on Higashiyama, followed by the "Myoho" on Matsukezaki, the "Funagata" on Nishigamo, the "Left Daimonji" on Daikokuyama, and the "Torii" on Saga. All five of these bonfires are registered as Intangible Folk Cultural Assets of Kyoto City.
(Each mountain is lit for about 30 minutes. The ignition time may be changed depending on weather conditions.)

鞍馬線を走る800系車両（2両1編成）の車内にお客さまに願い事を書いていただいた短冊を飾って運行し、期間終了後は七夕にゆかりの深い貴船神社へ奉納します。

・募集期間　2024年8月4日（日）まで
・受付場所　出町柳駅（改札内）、修学院駅（定期券うりば）の「七夕伝車願い事応募箱」

The 800 Series trains running on the Kurama Line (two-car trains) will be decorated with strips of paper with wishes written on them, which will be presented to Kibune Shrine, which is deeply connected with the Tanabata Festival, at the end of the tour.
