From September 7, discover Sweet Potato Anmitsu—a delicate seasonal expression of a beloved Japanese dessert, reimagined with the velvety sweetness of sweet potato. Chewy shiratama, translucent agar jelly and tender azuki beans come together in quiet harmony, evoking the warmth and stillness of the season.

Layers of tender apple, rich chestnut and delicately caramelized choux are crowned with fragrant vanilla-rum cream―a gentle expression of the season, with warmth lingering in every bite.

Did you know that the pond garden unfolds across two distinct yet harmonious spaces: Oike, the large pond, and Koike, the small pond?

Connecting these tranquil waters is a historic stone bridge, a treasured part of Shakusui-en’s 800-year heritage. To honour and preserve its archaeological significance for generations to come, a bespoke tempered-glass bridge has been thoughtfully built around the original stonework, allowing its timeless character to remain visible while protected beneath the glass.

As you wander through the garden, take a moment to admire this exquisite dialogue between history and contemporary craftsmanship, beautifully framed by the changing colours of the seasons.

フォーシーズンズホテル京都が誇る、800年もの歴史を受け継ぐ池庭「積翠園」。
ゆっくりと見渡せば、長い歳月を重ねながら大切に守り継がれてきた、貴重な庭園遺構の数々に出会うことができます。

大池と小池を隔てる石橋も、そのひとつ。古くからこの庭に残る石橋の姿を後世へと伝えるため、できる限り手を加えることなく、その上にガラス橋を架けました。透明なガラス越しに、悠久の時を重ねてきた石橋を今もご覧いただけます。
