As you cross the glass bridge in Shakusui-en, our 12th-century pond garden, you will notice five stones lined up in a row.

Known as Yodomari-ishi, these stones symbolize liveliness and reflection. They are said to represent a boat moored at sea after a long journey in search of treasured Buddhist medicines.

平安時代から受け継がれたホテル内の日本庭園「積翠園」には、大島近くに5つの石が一列に並んでいます。それらは夜泊石（よどまりいし）と呼ばれ、蓬莱島へ仏薬財宝を求め長い旅路を経た後、夜の海に停泊している舟の姿をイメージしてデザインされました。にぎわいや反映の象徴であり、縁起の良い庭園様式と言われています。
