It's famous for the beautiful bamboo forest, shrines, the gorgeous river surrounded by mountains...but today we want you to suggest another spot in Arashiyama that is worth a stop, it's an unusual coffee shop called % Arabica that is becoming very popular. HAPPY NEW YEAR
IN 2016, it was so fantastic year that I could see a thousand of guest from several countries. I hope you had a great time and experience in Kyoto with Parkside Umekoji last year. But there is still many thing to do an see in Kyoto, Japan, so hope you come back here again soon. I am keeping to study about a turism of Kyoto to recommend to you guys. I am really looking forward to seeing you in Kyoto.

I (Manager Tsukasa Takai) will leave Parkside Umekoji to new guest house, which is "LA Kyoto" located also in Kyoto. It is south part from Kyoto Station and takes about 12 mins by walk.

Kyoto Tower information
Today 24th and tomorrow 25th Dec, Kyoto tower will be illuminated to Christmas color (green and red) between 6 pm to 9 pm. and it has a turn at 7 and 8 pm for 1 mins. So don't miss it.

ROHM ILLUMINATION
ROHM presents such a nice illumination until 25th Dec for free.
There is an event today and tomorrow, it must be fun.
It takes within 10 mins by bus from Parkside, and then please get off the bus at Nishioji-Gojo.

Kitano-Tenmangu illumination
It was such a wonderful autumn leaves and lightning up.
Additionally you can have a Japanese sweet with tea.
It costs ¥700 for entrance and tea.
