Gion Festival maps for Saki Matsuri 7/10-17
⛩To all the visitors of the Gion Festival Yoiyama and Yamahoko Procession☀️
📢On July 17 (Fri), at around 6 AM we will announce on our page whether the Gion Matsuri Festival's Saki Matsuri (Early Festival) Yamahoko Float Procession will be held as planned.
Crowding is expected to occur during the Gion Festival, so we would like to ask you to follow these guidelines:
- The Gion Festival is held in a residential area where the locals go about their daily lives. Please do not forget to respect them and stay considerate of the local community.
- Please be careful of heat stroke. Take frequent breaks and drink plenty of liquids.
- Use public transportation when going to the Gion Festival.
- Please follow the instructions of police officers and staff to help prevent accidents.
- Please refrain from eating while walking.
