Which located KURAMA temple.

The climb from Kurama-dera to the summit of Hanase Pass (Hanase-toge) is legendary among Kansai cyclists as one of the toughest "gekizaka" (steep climbs) in the region.
Kurama to Hanase Pass: Technical Specs.

Key Features of the Route

• Starting Point: Timing usually starts near the main gate of Kurama-dera Temple or just past the junction at Kibuneguchi.

• Gradient Fluctuations: While the average is 8.5%, it is far from a steady climb.

• The Switchbacks: As you hit the series of hairpin turns in the middle section, the inner curve of the bends can spike to 14–15%.
