Mimuroto Temple in Uji City is one of the best hydrangea spots in Kyoto and Kansai.
As many as 20,000 hydrangeas are planted in the precincts, and various varieties of hydrangeas are in full bloom.
Because it is a temple at the foot of the mountain, there are many undulations in the precincts, and in some places it seems that it is buried in the hydrangea planted in a narrow space.
In fact, Mimuroto Temple is known not only as a hydrangea but also as a famous flower spot. In early summer, azaleas, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, and a little more, lotus flowers begin to bloom.
It seems that it will be canceled this year, but there is an event called a party to enjoy hasu (lotus)sake, and I suck the sake poured on the leaves of the lotus from the stem and drink it, but if you like sake, please check it out.

From the hotel to Mimuroto Temple, take the Keihan Electric Railway from Jingu Marutamachi Station, change to Nakashojima Station, get off at Mimurodo Station on the Uji Line, and walk for about 15 minutes.
