🚢🌊🚀🔥In these uncertain times due to the worsening situation in the Middle East, I am grateful for the many connections that have been made. 🍚🌾These are photos of breakfasts for guests staying at Kamuroan since the beginning of April.🥢

Kamuroan does not have a menu for breakfast. I look at the ingredients available that day and consider what to include in my breakfast and how to balance it.🧐
Currently, we have a guest staying for nine consecutive nights, but these are photos of breakfasts for guests who stayed before the nine-night guest checked in.😋

🌾🫘We ask about food allergies in advance, so that’s not a problem. However, everyone has different preferences and values, and we can’t know for sure until we serve breakfast on the first day. 🤔Therefore, from the second day onwards, we adjust the amount of breakfast and try to communicate with our guests as much as possible to plan breakfast for those days. Therefore, since communication is insufficient with only a one-night stay, we do not accept reservations for one-night stays.😓

The "Hajimari-no-pikachu(Beginning Pikachu)" plush toy arrived yesterday! 🎁‼ ️
This rare Pikachu went on sale at the Pokémon Center Online on March 10th (Tue.) at 10:00 AM and sold out in no time! I was able to purchase it about 5 minutes after it went on sale 😊

Pikachu limited edition to commemorate Pokémon's 30th anniversary
The "Hajimari-no-pikachu(Pikachu of the Beginning Plush Toy)" is a special 30th-anniversary commemorative reproduction plush toy and mascot keychain that faithfully recreates the plump, round, and adorable form of Pikachu from the 1996 release of "Pokémon Red and Green."🤩

🌸Around the time the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms bloom, the young, green momiji(Japanese maple leaves) begin to flower before their young leaves have fully opened. Immediately after the flowers fade, the seeds develop and, when ripe, flutter down like propellers.😊

🌸While it’s easy to be captivated by the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms, please also take a moment to appreciate the quiet beauty of the green momiji(Japanese maple leaves) during this season.🍃🍁

Momiji(Japanese Maple) trees (Acer palmatum) are deciduous trees belonging to the genus Acer in the family Sapindaceae.🧐
Momiji(Japanese Maple) trees are deciduous trees belonging to the Acer genus of the Sapindaceae family.

They are related to kaede(maples), but are distinguished from Kaede(maples) by their finely lobed leaves resembling a baby’s hand, hence the name Momiji(Japanese maple). Maple trees can be broadly divided into three types: Japanese maple (Acer palmatum), mountain maple (Acer amoenum), and large-leaved maple (Acer palmatum). Generally, when people say “momiji(Japanese maple),” they are almost always referring to the Japanese maple (Iroha maple).🧐

⚔️🥷 I heard that a statue of Shujiro Saga, the protagonist of Netflix’s “Ikusagami(
Last Samurai Standing),” was installed at Saikyoji Temple in Sakamoto, Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture on February 25th, so I left the cherry blossom tunnel at Hiyoshi no Baba, which is currently in full bloom, and went to Saikyoji Temple nearby to see the gigantic statue 😳📽️

The statue measures 5 meters wide, 3 meters high, and 2.5 meters deep! 😱
In episode 6, the tense scene where Gentosai (Hiroshi Abe) corners Iroha Kinugasa (Kaya Kiyohara) was filmed inside the guest hall of Saikyoji Temple, a nationally important cultural property. ⚔️🎬📽️

Saikyoji Temple is the head temple of the Tendai Shinsei sect, with over 400 branch temples throughout Japan.
🏯Mitsuhide became the lord of Sakamoto Castle in 1571, shortly after his lord, 🔥⚔️Nobunaga Oda, burned down Mt. Hiei. It was Mitsuhide Akechi who contributed to the reconstruction of Saikyoji Temple, which suffered damage during the burning of Mt. Hiei.
🪦Mitsuhide, who passed away in 1582, is enshrined alongside the graves of his principal wife, Hiroko, and other members of the Akechi family.🙏

🌸⛩️ Rokushō Shrine is an ancient shrine founded in 887, established as the guardian shrine of Gangyōji Temple, nestled at the foot of the Yamashina side of the eastern slope of the Higashiyama mountain range.⛰️

🌸⛩️Cherry blossoms next to the "Sacred Water Well Site" at the entrance to the shrine grounds.

🌸🚞🚇 This cherry tree is located directly above the Yamashina-side entrance to the Higashiyama Tunnel on the JR Tokaido Main Line, and is known among railway enthusiasts as a photo spot where trains entering and exiting the tunnel can be seen against the backdrop of the cherry blossoms. 🛤️
With no buildings obstructing the view, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the JR Tokaido Main Line tracks and the townscape of Yamashina through the cherry blossoms.

⛩️After passing through the torii gate adorned with cherry blossoms, you can see cherry blossoms lined up along the stone steps of the approach to the shrine, with votive lanterns in the background. 🏮🌸🏮

🌸This single Beni-shidare-zakura cherry tree has beautifully shaped branches and a dignified presence, exuding a pure and elegant beauty.

⛩️Hiyoshi Taisha is the head shrine of the approximately 3,800 Sanno shrines throughout Japan, and a historical shrine that even appears in the Kojiki (Records of Ancient Matters).

Sakamoto, where Hiyoshi no Banba is located, flourished as a "ribou"(monzengai=temple town) for Hiyoshi Taisha Shrine and Enryaku-ji Temple on Mt. Hiei, and it still retains its unique landscape today.

What is a "ribou"❓ It is a place where monks who have trained on Mount Hiei would descend from the mountain in their old age and live as a retirement home.

🌊With Lake Biwa behind you, ⛰️the mountain visible from Hiyoshi Taisha and Hiyoshi no Banba, 🌸where the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, is Mt. Hachioji. The Ushio-gu and Sannomiya-gu shrines, built in the kakezukuri style, stand on a cliff at the summit of Mt. Ushio, which is 378m above sea level. These buildings are said to be the origin of the butai-zukuri style of architecture.

☀️🚙On a sunny afternoon, I drove past the cherry blossoms along the Lake Biwa Canal in Kyoto and went to Hiyoshi no Banba in Sakamoto, Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, overlooking Lake Biwa, to see the blooming Somei Yoshino, Yama-zakura, and Beni-shidare-zakura cherry trees.🌸

🚃This is a tunnel of approximately 200 cherry trees stretching for about 1km from Keihan Sakamoto Hieizanguchi Station to the torii gate of Hiyoshi Taisha Shrine⛩️. The charming townscape, with its stone walls built by the Anou-shu (a group of stonemasons) 🪨🪨and traditional village houses, combined with the full bloom of the cherry blossoms and the view of Lake Biwa below, creates a truly exquisite cherry blossom viewing spot.🌸
