A morning in Gion that feels like a scene from a movie.

A small stone bridge spanning the Shirakawa River:
“Shirakawa Ipponbashi (Furukawacho Bridge)”

A narrow bridge just wide enough for one person to cross,
the Shirakawa River flowing quietly,
and the sight of the willow trees swaying in the breeze.

We recommend visiting early in the morning.
There are few people around, and it’s the perfect time to enjoy the beautiful sunrise and the willow trees.

Since it’s within walking distance of Yasaka Shrine,
be sure to add it to your morning walking route in Kyoto.

まるで映画のワンシーンのような、祇園の朝。

白川にかかる小さな石橋
「白川一本橋（古川町橋）」

人ひとり通れるほどの細い橋と、
静かに流れる白川。
