車で行くことができる日本最北東端、相泊

その少し手前にある「磯瀬」で、
アクションカメラを海の中へ入れてみました

普段は海面しか見ることのできない場所も、
水の中にはまったく別の世界が広がっています

岩陰にはギンポのような魚が身を潜め、
小さな魚たちが群れをつくって泳ぎ回る姿も

透明度の高い羅臼の海は、
陸から眺めるだけでも美しいですが、
少しだけ視点を変えると、
そこには小さな命が息づく豊かな海を感じられました

特に関東以南から来町される皆さま
お住まいの地域と景色は明らかに違うかもしれませんが
海の中も全く違った景色が広がっています

この夏、羅臼にお越しの際はぜひ、
磯場を探してみてください

Shiretoko Peninsula, Rausu, Hokkaido.

This is Isose, just before Aidomari—the northeasternmost place in Japan that can be reached by car.

I dipped an action camera beneath the surface to see what was there.

While we usually only see the sea from above, an entirely different world lies underwater.

Among the rocks, gunnel-like fish hide quietly, while schools of tiny fish swim through the clear water.

The sea of Rausu is beautiful from the shore, but looking beneath the surface reveals a rich underwater world filled with small lives.

For those visiting from southern Japan, especially the Kanto region and beyond, the scenery may already feel very different—but the underwater world is even more unique.

If you visit Rausu this summer, take a moment to explore the rocky shoreline.

（4WDの車であればテント横付けも可能です）
 電波も問題なく利用できるので、 自然の中でも快適に過ごせます

2025年にはトイレ・シャワーを新設し、 キャンプ初心者の方にも安心の環境に

テントの中には小さな冷蔵庫や
灯油ストーブもございます

電源もあるので、スマホの充電なども可能です

さらに、敷地内にはロッジも完備しています 冷え込む日には暖炉の火を眺めながら、 ゆったりとした時間を過ごすことができます
ロッジ内のお酒、ドリンクは飲み放題です

オプションでテントサウナもご利用いただけます

ヒグマ対策として、
敷地全域を電気柵で包囲しています
また、熊スプレー、熊鈴などもご用意しております

ギアや調味料は全てございますので、

Located on a hill overlooking the ocean, yet only about 5 minutes by car from the nearest convenience store.

From the parking area to the tents, it’s only a 1-minute walk. (If you have a 4WD vehicle, you can even park right next to your tent.)

Mobile signal is available throughout the area, so you can stay connected while enjoying nature comfortably.

In 2025, we newly built shower and restroom facilities, making the site welcoming even for first-time campers.

Each tent is equipped with a small refrigerator and a kerosene heater for chilly days.
Power outlets are also available, so you can charge your smartphone and other devices.

There is also a lodge on the property. On cold days, you can relax by the wood stove and enjoy a peaceful moment indoors.
Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks inside the lodge are all-inclusive.

As an optional activity, you can also enjoy our tent sauna experience.
For brown bear safety, the entire property is surrounded by an electric fence. Bear spray and bear bells are also provided.

All camping gear and seasonings are prepared for you, so you can enjoy a comfortable stay with Snow Peak equipment.

Why not experience the great outdoors of Shiretoko Rausu, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, and enjoy the luxury of doing absolutely nothing.

まだ雪の残る知床横断道路、知床連山
雪解け水が流れ込む、透き通るような清流

Spring in Shiretoko National Park

The Shiretoko mountain range still holds traces of snow, while crystal-clear streams carry the melting waters of winter.

Though spring has arrived,the air in Shiretoko remains cold.
