貸切風呂の六尺桶風呂で、ゆっくり温泉に浸かったあとは、 お風呂上がりに季節の自家製果実スカッシュを。

桃の季節が終わり、 小国産のラズベリーと、熊本の巨峰で仕込んだシロップができあがりました。

庭はまだまだ深い緑に包まれていますが、 少し足をのばした瀬の本高原では、 ススキが穂を出しはじめ、耳を澄ませば鈴虫の声。

夕暮れどきには、 あか牛たちがゆったりと草を食む姿も。

夏の名残と、少しずつ近づく秋。 季節が入れ替わる途中の、山あいのマジックアワーです。

After a relaxing soak in our private outdoor bath, enjoy a refreshing seasonal fruit soda.

Peach season has come to an end, and now our homemade syrups are made with locally grown raspberries from Oguni and Kyoho grapes from Kumamoto. Grapes are another delicious taste of the season here in Kumamoto. 🍇

Our garden is still wrapped in deep summer green, but a short drive away on the Senomoto Plateau, the silver grass has begun to send up its plumes, and the sound of bell crickets can already be heard.

At dusk, Akaushi cattle graze peacefully in the fields.

お盆を過ぎ、里山にも少しずつ静けさが戻ってきました。
8月14日(金)には南小国の夜空に花火が上がり、夏の夜を彩ってくれました。

そして22日(土)には、黒川温泉の納涼祭も開かれます。

日中はまだ暑さが残りますが、朝晩は20℃ほどまで気温が下がり、山あいには少しずつ秋の気配も感じられるようになりました。

夏の賑わいがひと段落するこれからは、人の流れも落ち着き、温泉や里山の風景をゆっくり楽しんでいただける頃です。

こんな時だからこそ、元気な場所は、いつも通り元気に。訪れてくださるお客様を迎え、楽しんでいただけたらと思っています。

少しだけ日常を離れて、山あいの温泉へ。湯につかり、緑を眺め、黒川温泉の涼しい夏を楽しみにいらしてください。

After Obon, a quiet calm is gradually returning to the countryside.

On August 14, fireworks lit up the night sky over Minamioguni, adding a touch of color to a summer evening.

And on Saturday the 22nd, Kurokawa Onsen will also hold its summer evening festival.

The days are still warm, but temperatures drop to around 20°C in the mornings and evenings, and the first subtle signs of autumn are beginning to appear in the mountain air.

As the lively summer season starts to settle down, the pace becomes a little quieter, making this a wonderful time to enjoy the hot springs and the beautiful countryside at a more leisurely pace.

7月28日に発生した地震では、黒川温泉でも震度4を観測いたしましたが、おかげさまで旅館山河では建物や設備に大きな被害はなく、お客様・スタッフともに無事を確認しております。現在も通常どおり営業しております。

During the earthquake that occurred on July 28, Kurokawa Onsen recorded a seismic intensity of 4. Fortunately, Ryokan Sanga sustained no significant damage to our buildings or facilities, and we are grateful to report that all of our guests and staff are safe. We are operating as usual.

Kurokawa Onsen as a whole has also experienced no major damage, and most ryokans and local shops remain open and operating normally.

盛夏を迎え、暑い日が続いています。
昼間は蝉の声が響き渡り、夕方になるとヒグラシが鳴き始めます。
やがて雷とともに夕立がやってきて、雨が上がるころには、再びヒグラシの澄んだ声が山あいに響き、涼しい風を運んできます。

そんな季節を迎えた黒川温泉に、今年もこの町の市原地区に受け継がれる「市原祇園社獅子舞」がやってきました。
祇園祭は、疫病退散や無病息災を願う夏の伝統行事です。
山河でもスタッフやお客様が獅子に頭を噛んでもらい、一年の健康と無病息災を願いました。

また、黒川温泉では只今夏の納涼イベント「湯涼み」開催中です。
温泉街の路地や橋が提灯のやさしい光に包まれ、昼間とはひと味違う幻想的な雰囲気をお楽しみいただけます。

8月22日までの毎週土曜日は、温泉街で手持ち花火が楽しめたり、キッチンカーを巡ったりと、夏の夜ならではのひとときをお過ごしいただけます。
最終日の8月22日（土）には、夏を締めくくる納涼祭も開催予定です。

期間中の土曜日は夜間の温泉街への送迎も行っておりますので、ご宿泊のお客様はお気軽にお申し付けください。

Midsummer has arrived, and the days are growing hot.
During the day, the chorus of cicadas fills the air.
As evening approaches, the gentle song of the Higurashi (evening cicadas) begins.

Then, with thunder, a refreshing summer shower passes through the valley.
When the rain stops, the Higurashi sing once again, and a cool breeze drifts through the mountains.

At this time of year, Kurokawa Onsen welcomes the Ichihara Gion Shishimai(Lion Dance), a tradition that has been passed down in the Ichihara district for generations.
The Gion Festival is a traditional summer event held to pray for protection from illness and for good health.

At Ryokan Sanga, our staff and guests welcomed the lion dance and received its symbolic "bite" on the head—a long-standing custom believed to bring good health and good fortune for the coming year.

 Kurokawa Onsen is also currently hosting its annual summer evening event, “Yusuzumi”.

The streets and bridges of the hot spring town are softly illuminated by traditional lanterns, creating a magical atmosphere quite different from the daytime.

Every Saturday until August 22, visitors can enjoy handheld fireworks, food trucks, and a relaxing summer evening stroll through the town.

 The season will conclude with the Summer Festival on Saturday, August 22.

 During the event period, we also provide an evening shuttle service between Ryokan Sanga and the hot spring town every Saturday.

Guests are welcome to ask our staff if they would like to use this service.

大雨が続いた数日でしたが、本日は晴れ間ものぞき、里山にも少しずつ穏やかな時間が戻ってきました。

設備メンテナンスと社員研修のため休館しておりましたが、本日より通常営業を再開いたします。

日が暮れると、敷地内にはやわらかな灯りがともり、昼間とはまた違った表情を見せてくれます。

夕食のあとは、やわらかな灯りが皆さまを温泉へと導きます。木々を渡る風やカジカガエルの鳴き声に耳を傾けながら、夜の山河ならではの静かなひとときをお過ごしください。

本日15:00より、ご宿泊・立ち寄り湯ともに営業しております。皆さまのお越しを心よりお待ちしております。

After several days of heavy rain, the sun has finally begun to break through the clouds, and a sense of calm is gradually returning to our peaceful satoyama landscape.

We had been temporarily closed for facility maintenance and staff training, and are pleased to announce that we have resumed normal operations today.

As evening falls, gentle lights begin to glow throughout the grounds, revealing a different kind of beauty from the daytime.

After dinner, follow the warm lights as they guide you to the hot springs. Listen to the breeze rustling through the trees and the songs of the kajika frogs, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere that can only be experienced at night in Sanga.

From 3:00 p.m. today, both overnight stays and day-use hot springs are available as usual. We look forward to welcoming you and hope you enjoy a peaceful stay with us.

朝から降り続く雨が、ヤマアジサイやヤマボウシの花を静かに揺らしています。

時折強く降る時間もありましたが、夕方になり少し落ち着いてきました。

雨に濡れた緑は一層深く、しっとりとしたこの季節ならではの景色が広がっています。

Rain has been falling gently over Ryokan Sanga throughout the day, swaying the delicate blossoms of mountain hydrangeas and Japanese dogwoods.

At times the rain came down quite heavily, but it has now eased, leaving the forest wrapped in a quiet mist.

The fresh greenery appears even more vibrant after the rain, creating the serene atmosphere that makes this season in Kurokawa Onsen so special.

Rainy weather is expected to continue through the weekend. Guests planning to visit us are encouraged to bring rain gear and footwear suitable for wet paths. If you are traveling by car, please drive carefully and allow extra time for your journey.
