During February, 56 guests from USA, Germany, Malaysia, China, France and Japan enjoyed staying at our Temple Inn. The best quote was from a tourist from Malaysia, who said "I never thought that such a place like Switzerland is so near from Tokyo". Yes! That is it! And the ratio of Japanese tourists is increasing, thanks to TV shows. 「This is a must book. Not only is the Temple both stunning & more than comfortable but the town of Urasa is quite charming. You won’t find much about it in Western guidebooks but once you are there you will find devine restaurants, world class sake, beautiful landscapes, and many options for skiing. It was all made easier by the most helpful and thorough guestbook I’ve ever seen at an Airbnb. If you can think of any other questions that are not in that book, Yoko is very responsive to help. The Temple itself is even more beautiful than the pictures and kept meticulously clean. We found it quite warm even in January and the beds were the most comfortable that I slept on in Japan. My group was on a skiing and culture trip to Japan and we found this place to be exactly what we are looking for. We had a car so it was easy to get around Urasa but it can be done without one and Yoko is willing to pick you up from the train station that runs into town from Tokyo. I can’t stress enough how much we enjoyed our stay at the Temple.

「小さい子どもを連れて行くと何か壊すかもしれないので心配です」とたまに言われるけど、お寺ってただっ広い平らなスペースだから子どもにとっては最高の場所。昔はお寺周辺の広場が子どもの遊び場で、お坊さんたちが第二の親だった。こうやって外から遊びに来た人たちが昔の原風景を思い出させてくれるのは嬉しい。"I am bit worried to take my children, because they may break something inside the hostel", asked some of my potential guests. Actually, a temple building is wide and flat, so perfect for children to play. And, in the past, a space around a temple was the most popular play grounds for children. (now they play mostly inside with video games) It is so nice to see these tourists kindly reviving the good old times.
