In a segment investigating "tips" as part of a feature introducing various rare places in Japan on the TV Asahi program "Nanikore Chin Hyakkei," Shonai Peninsula in Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture was featured.

Shonai Peninsula is known as one of Japan's most beautiful scenic capes and attracts many tourists. In the program, Misaki Shrine, located at the tip of the peninsula, was introduced, and Tamate was also featured along the way.

先日、たまてから車で1時間弱の場所にある琴平町へ出かけ、金毘羅歌舞伎を鑑賞する機会がありました。特に心に残ったのは、映画「国宝」で吉沢亮さんが演じた主人公・喜久雄の物語の集大成として描かれる歌舞伎舞踊「鷺娘」です。この作品は、優雅で繊細な舞と、切ない物語が見事に融合しており、観る者を深い感動の渦に巻き込みます。

一時間弱のドライブで訪れることのできるこの地で、伝統的な日本文化の真髄に触れ、日常の喧騒から離れたひとときを過ごしました。また、会場の雰囲気や地元の人々との触れ合いも、新たな発見や学びをもたらしてくれました。伝統芸能が持つ力、そしてそれが私たちの日々の生活に与える影響に改めて思いを巡らせる機会となりました。

The other day, I had the opportunity to visit Kotohira Town, which is less than an hour by car from Tamate, and watch the Konpira Kabuki. What left a particular impression on me was the kabuki dance “The Heron Maiden,” which is depicted as the culmination of the story of the protagonist Kikuo, played by Ryo Yoshizawa in the film "National Treasure." This work is a magnificent fusion of graceful and delicate dance with a heartrending story, enveloping the audience in a whirlpool of deep emotion.

In this place, which can be reached with a drive of less than an hour, I experienced the essence of traditional Japanese culture and spent a moment away from the bustle of everyday life. Additionally, the atmosphere of the venue and interactions with the local people brought about new discoveries and learnings. It became a renewed opportunity to reflect on the power of traditional performing arts and the impact they have on our daily lives.

車で3分の西側の生里(なまり)地区に行くと西側を向いているので、きれいな夕陽を見ることができます。

11月9日までです。

箱から見える粟島も展示会場になっています。

粟島には須田港から出る定期船に乗って行きます。

船の便は頻繁に出ているわけではないのでお気をつけ下さい。

須田港の駐車場は使用できないため、車で向かわれる方は事前に駐車場の場所をご確認ください。
