This ginkgo tree is over 400 years old. The yellow carpet and sunny autumn weather are wonderful. It feels good that there are not many people.
It grows splendidly on the grounds of Nanshuji Temple, which is a 15-minute walk from the guesthouse.
樹齢400年以上の銀杏の木です。黄色い絨毯と秋晴れが素敵。人も少ないのがいい感じ。
ゲストハウスから歩いて15分の難宗寺の境内で立派に育っています。

It came out beautifully today. and self-praise.
In summer, there are not many flowers and it is difficult to choose flowers from the garden. This rose was a cutting that I received from my mother right after the guesthouse opened.
200-300 flowers bloom in spring, but they bloom little by little throughout the year.

今日はなんか決まった。と自画自賛
夏は花が少なく庭から選ぶのも大変。この薔薇はゲストハウスオープン直後に母から貰い挿し木したものです。
春には200~300の花が咲きますが、一年中少しずつ咲いています。
7月にはゲストハウスオープン8年を過ぎました。ゲストの皆様のおかげです。これからも長く続けていただけるように心を引き締めて…

It became a base inn for a family (Father, Mother and Daughter) on a bicycle trip.
They came from the airport with their bikes in suitcases and assembled it in the parking space of the guest house.The father was the main assembler for 3 people. His wife and daughter are also great helpers! We saw bikes in suitcases for the first time!
Thery had cycle trip for Shimanami Kaido for two weeks. They returned and put the bikes back in their suitcases.
Next, Kumano Kodo trekking. A week later, they returned and ended with a makizushi party in the guesthouse. Daughter is interested in making Japanese food, tried making tamagoyaki and did well. The other guest who is a accordion player and singer also participated, and everyone enjoyed making sushi rolls.
We had an exciting and fun time. Thanks!

自転車旅行のご両親と娘さんご家族のベース宿になりました。
スーツケースに自転車を入れて空港から来て、ゲストハウスの駐車スペースで組み立てた。3人分をお父さんがメインで組み立てていました。奥さんと娘さんも立派な補助です！私たちは初めてスーツケースに入った自転車を見ました！
「しまなみ海道」に向けて出発して2週間後に戻って、また自転車をスーツケースに戻しました。
次は熊野古道のトレッキング。1週間後に戻り、最後は皆で巻きずしパーティー。日本食を作ることに興味のある娘さんは、卵焼きに挑戦して上手にできました。アコーディオン奏者でシンガーのゲストも参加して、みんなで楽しく巻きずしも作りました。
刺激的で楽しいひと時を過ごしました。ありがとう！

Kawazu-zakura is a type of cherry blossom that blooms earlier than somei-yoshino. A family of two daughters from Singapore also wanted to see real cherry blossoms and went there.
