Welcome to the White Horse Gym. Exclusively for Hotel and House guests.
Still some work to do on it but the equipment is in and the preseason training begins. It's small, will be hot in the summer and absolutely freezing in the winter but weight training is not about being comfortable (think Rocky 4). Couple of rules - don't drop weights and no phones.

The booking sites are saying we are full but that's because we don't give them any rooms yet. We'd much rather have our loyal guests staying with us again. Get in touch and we'll sort you out. Some dates are already full so don't leave it too long. Hope to see you back here in 2025.

We just upgraded the wifi again at the hotel. I didn't even know it could reach these speeds. We have come a long way since the days of a pc on the bar for crew to occasionally check their emails during their stay. I do like the idea of the first to touch their phone pays for the drinks :)

Our annual wine tasting event with Village Cellars is always a great afternoon of fabulous wines and good vibes. This year we also collaborated with Hakubanishki sake. There was certainly a bigger buzz in the air with international tourism opening up. We'll have some amazing wines and sake on our list this year so drop on by and check em out. Bar opens on the 10th of Dec.

Make a plan everyone and create a dream. Qantas are still saying December for international flights to Japan. We are on target here for 80% vaccinations which seems to be the benchmark for most countries to start opening up. Book some flights and book direct with the hotels in Hakuba and request a non deposit option with payment once flights are confirmed. Plenty of us are up for that.

We are taking tentative bookings for next winter so send through some dates and lets dream. Not much coming through at the moment which is understandable so it gives me time to explore more of the rivers throughout the valley. Odd bits of metal show up on the banks from 100 years of dam building. Makes for some interesting naturart. Yep I did take it away :)

This week I spent a few days at Hakuba Iwatake Ski Resort. A fun little resort with plenty of terrain options to keep everyone happy. The top of the mountain...
