What a Blueee-tiful day on the slopes today with 135cm of snow still up at the top!! 💙⛷️
Spring skiing in Nozawa just hits different — soft snow, wide-open runs, less crowds!
And yes… hot chocolate tastes even better with this view ☕❄️

Spring has arrived early in Nozawa!
The village gets quieter and the birds starts chirping, but the slopes stay there with all the good fun awaiting!
It's awesome to get up the mountain with T-shirts and hoodies and enjoy the snow with way less people around. 🌸
This year we had a slower March, usually we get a dump or two before spring arrives fully but it doesn't seem to be the case for this season! However it doesn't change the fact that there's plenty of spring fun out there :)

Last night's Nozawa Winter Lighting Festival 🤍 and today's another dump of snow in March!
Yesterday we had another lovely fireworks night with free sake tastings and skier and snowboarders riding down the Nagasaka slope with torches on fire! A pretty amazing sight to see
And after that, we had a good amount of snowfall overnight and totals seem to be 20-25cm for today, a nice surprise when spring seemed to be around the corner already :)

15cm of fresh snow!
Doesn't sound like much but it's been a little while since we had a significant amount of new snowfall, so everyone is happy back up on the slopes :)
We're hoping for some more throughout this week, fingers crossed for snowfall above forecasted 😆

Spring seems to be around the corner…
We’ve been having beautiful sunny days around Nozawa, although the snow tap has stopped for a while, we can’t deny the fun of nice sunny weather with t shirts and loose snow 😆
There are some rumors of some big snow day may come in March, so fingers crossed so that it makes enough base to have the resort open til Golden Week!

A sunny week with plenty of fresh powder and no crowds?!
That's what we're getting right now entering the second half of February. With 30cm this Wednesday and really not that many people skiing, the snow has remained so good and it's been an absolutely wonderful week 🤍
And who knows what March will bring to us?!
We still have rooms available for the second half of March so feel free to contact us and grab the opportunity for some amazing days of snow and sun in Nozawa!

Another beautiful day on the slopes!
Low temperatures with sunshine and hard packed groomers, what a combination!
We've had a big dump yesterday, getting the base up top at 300cm again 🤍 forecast points to some quiet days on the following 2 weeks, with occasional snowfall to top it up ❄️
We're hoping there'll be another system coming end of Feb or maybe even during March, just to get that bit more of that magical feeling of powder days ❤️‍🔥

Just a collection of the car life in Nozawa... It's always funny when you think you're gonna have a quick go to the shops for some groceries but it takes 30+ minutes just to dig your car out (or to even find it 😅). Most of the times the snow is so light that it's kind of satisfying to push it off the car!

52cm overnight and a whole lot more coming!
we had another phenomenal dump overnight and from what it seems it’s not gonna stop any time during the day so there will be fresh tracks to enjoy after every lift! Forecast is also looking very good as this snowstorm is not gonna leave Nozawa anytime soon and we will still have a few more dumps to come over the next days 🤍

Over 50cm overnight and a lot more coming throughout the day! With the snow almost waist deep at some spots, the mountain gods are delivering some serious blessings to us. There's so much snow today that the snow plowers operations at the top of the mountain are running behind scheduled, so opening hours hours are delayed about 20 minutes.
