「さるく」は長崎弁で「まちをぶらぶら歩く」と言う意味で使われていますが、この言葉が一般的になったのは2006年に開催されたまち歩きをテーマにした博覧会「長崎さるく博'06」がきっかけと言われています。
今年はそのさるく博から20周年の節目にあたる記念の年ということで多数のさるくコースが用意されています。

「ENRO長崎・館内」でも唐人屋敷から旧居留地をさるく体験プランをご用意しています。
地元を知り尽くしたガイドと一緒にまわる特別な体験プランを通じて、
長崎を「歩いて・見て・聞いて」体験する…

“Saruku” is a term in the Nagasaki dialect that means “to stroll around town,” and it is said that this word became widely known following the “Nagasaki Saruku Expo ’06,” an exposition centered on walking tours held in 2006.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of that Saruku Expo, and to celebrate, a variety of saruku courses have been prepared.

“ENRO Nagasaki Kannai” also offers a “saruku” experience plan that takes you from the Chinese Quarter to the Former Foreign Settlement.
Through this special experience plan, led by a guide who knows the area inside and out,
you can experience Nagasaki by “walking, seeing, and listening”…

It’s a unique experience you won’t find anywhere else.

2026年6月1日、｢ENRO長崎・館内｣オープン。
長崎には数多くの史跡がありますが、ENRO長崎・館内がある館内町には、江戸時代中国人の隔離居住地となっていた｢唐人屋敷｣が建設された場所です。
現在も４つの御堂が残っており、自由に見学する事が出来ます。

今となっては当たり前となっている卓袱料理にチャンポン・皿うどん、長崎くんちの龍踊りに精霊流しもかつての唐人からの影響と言われており、今なお長崎の生活の一部として生き続けています。

｢ENRO長崎・館内｣でかつての唐人の暮らしに想いを馳せながら過ごす旅....

ENRO Nagasaki Kannai will open on June 1, 2026.
While Nagasaki is home to numerous historical sites, Kannai—the location of ENRO Nagasaki Kannai—is where the “Tōjin-yashiki” (residential quarters for Chinese immigrants) was established during the Edo period.
Four temples dating back to that era still stand today and are open to the public free of charge.

Dishes that have become familiar today, such as “Shippoku cuisine,” “Champon,” and “Sara Udon,” as well as the “Dragon Dance” from the Nagasaki Kunchi festival and “Shoro Nagashi” , are said to have been influenced by the former Chinese community and continue to thrive as part of daily life in Nagasaki.

On June 1, 2026, “ENRO Nagasaki・Kannai” will open in Kannai-machi, Nagasaki City.

During the Edo period, Kannai-machi was home to the “Tojin Yashiki” , built by the shogunate. It was a historic hub of exchange where people from across the seas came and went, forging ties between foreign cultures and Japan.
