1898年に建てられたホテルインディゴ長崎グラバーストリートの建物は、フランス人修道士によって設計され、日本の大工たちの手によって建設されました。
連なる半円のロンバルド帯や窓上のアーチ装飾など、ロマネスク調の意匠を取り入れながら、日本瓦を組み合わせた外観には、長崎らしい文化の融合が息づいています。
幾重にも重なる煉瓦の造形が、やわらかな陰影と重厚感を生み出し、時を重ねた建築ならではの美しさが空間に静かな余韻をもたらします。
 
Built in 1898, the building that now houses Hotel Indigo Nagasaki Glover Street was designed by a French missionary priest and constructed by Japanese craftsmen.
Its Romanesque-inspired details, including Lombard bands and layered brick arches above the windows, are paired with traditional Japanese roof tiles, reflecting Nagasaki’s distinctive blend of cultures.
The layered brickwork creates soft shadows and a quiet sense of timeless grandeur.

ホテルインディゴ長崎グラバーストリートでは、お客様とスタッフがともに折り上げた千羽鶴を、「長崎原爆犠牲者慰霊平和祈念式典」に合わせて平和公園へ寄贈いたします。
本取り組みは、被爆地・長崎を舞台に、PeaceとEntrepreneurを掛け合わせた「Peace-preneur」を育成する国際フォーラムに参加した若手スタッフの発案により実現しました。
被爆の歴史を今に伝える建物とともに歩むホテルとして、長崎が受け継いできた平和文化を未来へつないでいきたいと考えています。
一羽一羽に込められた想いとともに、長崎が受け継いできた平和文化をこれからも未来へつないでまいります。

Carrying the spirit of peace into the future.
At Hotel Indigo Nagasaki Glover Street, we will donate a thousand paper cranes folded by our guests and team members to Nagasaki Peace Park in conjunction with the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Memorial Ceremony.
This initiative was inspired by a young team member who participated in an international forum dedicated to nurturing “Peace-preneurs” — future leaders who combine peace and entrepreneurship.
As a hotel housed within a building that carries the memory of Nagasaki’s history, we hope to help pass on the city’s culture of peace to future generations.
Together with the wishes folded into each crane, we will continue to carry Nagasaki’s message of peace forward.

Restaurant Cathedréclatは、かつて修道院の聖堂として使われていた空間。
その歴史に思いを重ね、8月までハーブやスパイスを取り入れたアフタヌーンティーをご用意しております。
スコーンを含む7種のスイーツには、カルダモン香る柑橘のパンナコッタや、コリアンダーシードをまとわせた焼きバナナのクレープロール、ミントを合わせた長崎県産メロン、八角がほのかに香るビワゼリーなどをご用意。
さらに、カレーのスパイスが香る長崎県産鯛の香草フライのスライダーバーガーや、バジルソースを合わせた焼き茄子の雲仙生ハム巻きなど、ハーブやスパイスを取り入れた4種のセイボリーもお愉しみいただけます。
修道院のハーブ園に思いを馳せながら、香りに包まれる午後のひとときをお過ごしください。

Restaurant Cathedréclat is housed in what was once the chapel of a former monastery.
Honouring this history, our seasonal Afternoon Tea features herbs and spices throughout the menu.
Enjoy seven sweets, including citrus panna cotta with cardamom, roasted banana crêpe roll with coriander seed, Nagasaki melon with mint, and loquat jelly with a hint of star anise, alongside four savoury creations.

文禄元年（1592年）に起こりがあると伝わる小川家では、古くは動物をモチーフにした人形が作られ、その後、日本人形へ、さらに長崎の異文化交流を映す外国人の人形へと発展していったそうです。
ホテルで展示している「オランダさん」もそのひとつ。「オランダさん」は、江戸時代に出島で暮らしたオランダ商館長（カピタン）が猟に出かける姿を表したものと伝えられています。
今回、古賀人形窯元を訪ね、「オランダさん」の型を見せていただきました。
当ホテルには、出島のオランダ商館長「カピタン」に着想を得たトップスイート「KAPITAN GARDEN TERRACE SUITE」があります。館内に展示している「オランダさん」もまた、長崎が育んだ異文化交流の歴史を伝える存在です。

Koga Dolls are one of Japan’s three major clay doll traditions, passed down in Nagasaki for generations.
The “Oranda-san” displayed at our hotel is said to depict the Dutch Capitan of Dejima heading out on a hunt, reflecting Nagasaki’s history of cultural exchange.
During a recent visit to the Koga Doll workshop, we had the opportunity to see the original mould used to create the figure.
At our hotel, the “Oranda-san” is displayed alongside the KAPITAN GARDEN TERRACE SUITE, inspired by the Dutch Capitan of Dejima.
