On May 16th, we welcome internationally acclaimed DJ / producer Kenichiro Nishihara to our LIVE DJ night at the Communal Lobby DJ Booth.

Known for blending jazz, hip hop, and sophisticated grooves, Kenichiro Nishihara has provided music direction for Tokyo and Paris fashion collections, Ginza Six, and the champagne bar inside Hermès Ginza. His albums, including “Humming Jazz” and “Kaleidoscope Suite,” have received acclaim both in Japan and overseas.

Experience a refined night filled with warm vinyl textures, mellow jazz rhythms, and an atmosphere unique to Nikko Style Nagoya.

Ogiso / Mikanchos

Two nights shaped by deep grooves and eclectic selections.
On May 9 and 30, Ogiso and Mikanchos take over the DJ Booth at Nikko Style Nagoya, bringing a refined blend of black music and genre-crossing vinyl sets.

Ogiso, known as the DJ of THE CYNICAL BROTHERS, is a dedicated record collector who crafts his sets around black music while adapting seamlessly to the mood of the space.
Mikanchos, founder of the cheesecake brand “Chadoes,” draws from roots in hard rock and thrash metal, curating genreless selections centered on black music.

Expect a night where contrasts meet—depth and playfulness, analog warmth and modern flow—delivered through a clear and immersive sound system.

DJ ELLY brings a refined underground hip hop journey, shaped by years across Roppongi, Shibuya, and Yokohama, now rooted in Nagoya. Known for his vinyl-only sets and signature jazzy hip hop grooves, his Nujabes tribute mix surpassed 1 million views in just five months—an authentic sound that resonates beyond time.

BURGERBOY JIN, originally from Osaka, draws inspiration from hip hop’s sampling culture into jazz-infused selections. A rising presence in Nagoya’s scene, his dedication to vinyl—and even his shaved head—reflects a pure commitment to music.

DJ ELLYは2003年よりUnderground Hip Hopを軸に活動を開始。六本木・渋谷・横浜を経て名古屋へ拠点を移し、Vinyl OnlyでGrooveを紡ぎ続けています。2022年に公開したNujabes中心のJazzy Hip Hop Setは、わずか5ヶ月で100万再生を突破。時代を越えて響く音を届けます。

BURGERBOY JINは大阪出身。HIPHOPのサンプリング文化からJAZZに影響を受け、両ジャンルを軸にプレイ。名古屋で活動を広げる中、レコード購入のために丸坊主を貫くなど、その姿勢にも音楽への純度が表れています。

名古屋市内の18ホテルは、EARTH HOURに参加いたします。

名古屋市内のホテルでは、EARTH HOURに2023年から合同で参加を表明し、9社から徐々に輪が広がり今年は18社で参加します。また今年は、中部電力 MIRAI TOWERも消灯に参画し、気候変動と生物多様性保全への意思を表明します。

Nagoya’s 18 hotels will participate in EARTH HOUR.

Hotels in Nagoya city have jointly declared their participation in EARTH HOUR since 2023, starting with 9 Hotels gradually expanding to 18 this year. This year, Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER will also join the lights-off initiative, and together we demonstrate our commitment to addressing climate change and conserving biodiversity.

“地球のための1時間”EARTH HOURは、世界中で同じ日・同じ時間に電気を消し、地球温暖化防止や生物多様性の保全への意思を示す環境アクションです。

2026年は3月28日、20:30から21:30まで実施されます。
当ホテルでは屋外サインの消灯に加え、館内では、ロビーにある鯱（しゃちほこ）のオブジェのプロジェクションマッピングを停止します。

この時間、ロビーのDJブースでは土曜夜恒例の「LIVE DJ」も開催中。
音楽を楽しみながら、EARTH HOURにもご参加いただけます。
心地よい音楽とともに、宇宙に輝く地球をイメージしたカクテルもぜひお楽しみください。

今年は名古屋市内で、当ホテルを含む18のホテルがEARTH HOURに参加します。

Held worldwide at the same date and time, Earth Hour is a global movement where lights are switched off for one hour to show a shared commitment to tackling climate change and protecting biodiversity.

On March 28, from 8:30 to 9:30 PM, we will turn off our exterior signage lights. In the lobby, the projection mapping on the signature Golden Shachihoko installation will also be paused to mark the occasion and ensure our guests can experience and engage with Earth Hour.

Our Saturday night LIVE DJ session will be in full swing during Earth Hour—join us, enjoy the music, and be part of the moment. Sip on a special cocktail inspired by the Earth shining in space as you take in the atmosphere.

This year, 18 hotels across Nagoya—including ours—are taking part in Earth Hour.

ayapan★

Inspired by traditional Japanese songs, ayapan★ plays a soothing selection centered on analog records. She crafts a unique sound atmosphere across lounges, cafes, outdoor events, and more in Nagoya. She is also a collector of 90s 8cm CDs.
Kazumasa Suzuki – version city session

Kazumasa Suzuki began his career in Nagoya’s club scene in the early 90s. In 2009, he formed “version city session” and released #1 – plays japanese club classics vol.1 the following year, a live jazz cover album of Japanese club tracks.

The cover of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s “Riot In Lagos” was featured in a Patagonia environmental documentary and selected by legendary UK jazz DJ Paul Murphy for the Jazz Room Records compilation Covers.

きっかけは「にほんのうた」。アナログレコードを中心に、心地よさを大切にした選曲で音空間を演出。名古屋のラウンジやカフェ、アウトドアイベントなどでも活動中。90年代の8cmCDコレクターでもある。
鈴木一彰 – version city session

90年代前半から名古屋のクラブシーンで活動を開始。2009年に「version city session」を結成し、翌年には国産クラブミュージックをジャズでカバーしたライブアルバム『 #1 – plays japanese club classics vol.1』をリリース。

坂本龍一「Riot In Lagos」のカバーはパタゴニアの環境ドキュメンタリーで使用され、イギリスのDJ Paul Murphyが主宰するJazz Room Recordsのコンピレーション『Covers』にも収録され、海外からも注目を集めた。

Get ready for the last sound journey of 2025 at Nikko Style Nagoya.

On December 27th, DJ ELLY and BURGERBOY JIN will take over the DJ booth for a special night of grooves.

■ DJ ELLY

Started his career in 2003, focusing on Underground Hip Hop in bars. After playing clubs in Roppongi, Shibuya, and Yokohama, he moved to Nagoya in 2008. In 2022, his Jazzy Hip Hop vinyl-only set featuring Nujabes hit over 1 million views in just 5 months on YouTube. He continues to deliver grooves with pure vinyl and good music.

■ BURGERBOY JIN
