ゲストハウスサミットとは…
毎年開催の全国各地からゲストハウスのオーナーが集まる2日間。今年の開催地は北海道札幌市。

ゲストハウスオーナー向けに、オーナー同士のつながりの構築や連携について話し、実現する「オーナーズセッション(2/29)」と、
ゲストハウスに興味がある一般の方向けに、全国にある素敵なゲストハウスと、その宿泊施設をより多くの方に知ってもらう「オープンセッション(3/1)」が行われます。

なんと、オープンセッションの参加費は無料！！
(懇親会は別途料金がかかります)

Everyone,

I'd like to throw some light on an event taking place soon in Gifu prefecture, about 30 minutes from Nagoya!

On October 4, 5 and 6 and 11, 12 and 13, you'll be able to join "Ukai Sajiki" on the Nagara river. After a traditional dinner and Geisha performance, you will experience Ukai Cormorant fishing show from special seats. This fishing technique uses Cormorant birds which dive to catch fish, performed by 6 members of Usho, who are Cormorant Fishing Masters. This is an extremely rare and special demonstration, so if you're looking to spice your trip up, do not hesitate to join!

Everyone,

On behalf of Glocal's staff, we deeply thank you for the continuous support and for coming last week to our 4 year anniversary party! Everyone had lots of fun and we appreciated the good mood and the smiles. So, see you next year for the 5th party! 😉

We would also like to notify that the kitchen will be reopened at night from tomorrow, and until further notice. So we are back to the old schedule now thanks to the new staff coming in! We apologize for the inconvenience, and we're ready to welcome everyone as usual.

Starting at 5PM, you'll find the usual selection of craft beers and wines with our most popular dishes, from Karaage to Lasagna... Can't wait to see you all there!

Hello everyone!

【Important Notice】

After the start of our new cafe Kissa Morning, we will be reducing the kitchen hours at Glocal Cafe. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience, and we will do our best to go back to the normal schedule once everything is settled down!

We have been recruiting new staff but training is still undergoing, so we appreciate your patience with the matter!

We will thus change the cafe's schedule for a while. In the meantime, drop by for a bite, a drink or a chat! Our staff will be delighted to exchange with you. Here's the new schedule, effective as of now:

Monday: Closed as usual
Tuesday: 11am to 11pm, but kitchen closes at 4pm (drinks only from 4 pm)
Wednesday : 11am to 11pm, but kitchen closes at 4pm (drinks only from 4pm)
Thursday : 11am to 11pm, no change
Friday: 11am to 11pm, no change
Saturday: 11am to 11pm, no change
Sunday: 11am to 11pm, no change

The change is effective on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only. The bar will still be open as usual, so come for a glass of organic wine or for one of our new Japanese Craft Beers! Thank you very much for your understanding.

Tomorrow (Thursday 16th May) our cafe/restaurant hours will be reduced from 3pm - 11pm. So sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Hello everyone!

Golden week is over, and summer is just around the corner. It gets cold at night, but afternoons are getting warmer by the day. We're open as usual from 11 am to 11 pm. Come enjoy our flavored iced lattes and smoothies with a cake, ice cream or French toast! Be it studying by yourself, coming with friends or just chatting with our staff, we're looking forward to having you here 😊

Hello everyone!

Thank you very much for all attending our event last Sunday. We had a blast with Mika sharing her knowledge of Belize, organizing a little quiz and talking to everyone here. Getting together and having fun learning about a new country and its culture is one of the things we try to achieve here at Glocal.

We're glad everyone felt the spirit of Belize, even for a short time, and we hope we sparked interest in some of you to actually travel there... In the meantime and until next event, take care and come visit us for a chat!

Hello everyone!

Earlier this week, Glocal joined the annual Hadaka Matsuri (Naked Man Festival) held every year in Inazawa city. As usual, we gathered English students, guests from Glocal Hostel and international students in Japan!

We want to especially thank Dillon, Jeff, Jules and Max for their participation: the weather was particularly cold this year... Everyone had fun meeting local Japanese and drinking sake, so thanks for the good vibes and to the Sarashikai group for welcoming us in this friendly atmosphere.

See you at Glocal soon and of course, next year as well for another crazy experience!!!

Hello everyone!

If you haven't come to Glocal in a while, our new event will be a great opportunity to reconnect with friends and meet our staff again. We will host a Belize Night on February the 24th (Sunday 2/24).

Belize is a small country in Central America, which only got its independence from the UK in 1981, so people do use English as an official language! It is a great blend of culture there and we'll have the pleasure to host Mrs. Mika Kozawa as a guest speaker. She has lived in Belize and will share interesting life stories with everyone.

Let's all gather for a relaxed event with food and drinks!
