2. Coffee Gannen Nakagawa ＠Nagoya, Aichi
Enjoy shaved ice at a café run by a specialty coffee bean shop along the Nakagawa Canal. There is a terrace area, which is recommended for eating the cold shaved ice (though do watch out for mosquitoes, and note that the terrace may not be available during strong winds).
🚗 Although it is close to marui home, there is no public transport access, so going by car or taxi is recommended; it is a 10-minute drive.
3. Uchiyama Reika , Aichi
A long-established shop in Nakamura Ward specializing in shaved ice and ice cream *monaka* (wafer sandwiches), open only during the summer. They offer traditional shaved ice, including varieties topped with *kanten* (agar jelly) and fruit. It is a highly satisfying spot where you can enjoy a nostalgic, Showa-era atmosphere.

4. Wabisuke , Aichi
In addition to lunch options like udon noodles, they also serve shaved ice. A light lunch followed by shaved ice is a great choice when strolling through Tokoname on a hot summer day. Nearby attractions include "Tokonyan"—a famous, giant beckoning cat statue—and the "Pottery Footpath" (Yakimono Sanpo-michi).
🚃 It takes about 30 minutes to reach Tokoname Station from Nagoya Station via the Meitetsu Tokoname Line, followed by a roughly 10-minute walk.
