JINGさんがmuiでJING tableをしたいと言ってくれた事。本当に簡単なことではなく、勇気のいることだったと思います。
両国の間の飛行機は絶賛減便中だし、日本への渡航は以前よりも簡単ではない。
それでも去年初めてmuiに泊まりに来てた時に何かを感じてくれたmuiという場所に彼女は彼女の大好きな食卓を携えて戻ってきてくれました。沢山の準備を大きなトランクいっぱいに詰めて。
それはまるで自分の遠い昔の記憶、父の友人の中国人の家庭に招かれ賑やかに囲んだ食卓。
知ってる人も初めての人も料理を囲んで仲良くなる。
この日並んだ料理は彼女の思い出の味であり、故郷の味であり、大好きな味。
自己紹介の様な彼女の手料理は受け手にもそのまま伝わって。
自分という通訳を介さなくともそこにいた全員がちゃんと感じ取ってくれていた。
贅沢でやさしい時間
それは音楽の様にmuiの空間に流れていてなんだかとっても心地良かった
きっちり10人前のコースを1人で作り切った彼女は夜1人で切符良くお酒を飲み干す。
また忘れられない1日が刻まれる

When Jing told us she wanted to host JING Table at mui, I felt it was not something simple—it must have taken real courage.
Flights between our countries are still heavily reduced, and traveling to Japan is not as easy as it once was.
And yet, when she first stayed at mui last year, something here must have stayed with her. She returned to this place—bringing with her the table she loves, and a large suitcase filled with careful preparations.
It felt like a distant memory of my own—being invited to a Chinese family’s home, friends of my father, gathering around a lively table.
Whether familiar faces or strangers, people come together over food and naturally grow close.
The dishes she served that day carried her memories—flavors of her hometown, flavors she truly loves.
Like a self-introduction, her cooking spoke for her, and it reached everyone just as it was.
Even without me translating, everyone there could feel it clearly.
A moment both gentle and deeply rich.
It flowed through mui like music, quietly filling the space with a comforting rhythm.
After preparing a full course for ten entirely on her own, she ended the night by finishing her drink with a sense of ease and spirit.
Another unforgettable day, etched into memory.
