Miyama Town Nature Cultural Village ‘Kajikaso’is a hub facility to enjoy Miyama. Kajikaso is a wooden hotel located along clear stream Yura river. The hotel’s room is simple Japanese room. You can use big public bathhouse with open-air bath and open lobby. Besides, there are campsite, log house, meeting hall, playground, and so on.
【自慢は地元の食材を使用した和食料理】
自慢は地元の食材を使った和食のお料理です。美山の鹿肉を使用した「和のジビエ」、美山の平飼いの鶏「京地どり」を用いたすき焼きなどをお召し上がりいただけます。他にも春は山菜を使った和会席、夏は清流・由良川の鮎料理、冬は猪肉を使ったぼたん鍋を提供しています。
We serve Japanese cuisine used local fresh foods. Our recommendation, ‘Wano-gibie’ is a Japanese meal which is used wild deer in Miyama. About ‘Sukiyaki’, we use free ranged chicken grown in Miyama. In addition to this, you can eat seasonal dishes. For example, Japanese banquet dishes made by edible plants in spring, sweetfish in Summer, and wild boar hot pot in winter.
【人気観光地・かやぶきの里を楽しむ拠点として】
人気の観光地・かやぶきの里までは約2キロ。ウォーキングやサイクリングでかやぶきの里まで向かうのもおすすめです。
Kayabuki-no-sato is the most popular sightseeing spot in Miyama. From Kajikaso to Kayabuki-no-sato, it is 2 kilo meters. So it’s our recommendation to go to Kayabuki-no-sato on foot or by rental-cycle.
【季節ごとの美山の魅力を体験することができます】
公共交通機関を使って美山に来るのは少し大変です（特に冬は）。しかし冬期はとても美しい雪景色を見ることができます。そのため、時期によっては京都駅からの送迎付きプランを開催しています。
清流・由良川の源流が流れる秘境・芦生原生林を歩く「芦生の森ネイチャーガイドトレッキング」 、冬の雪山を西洋かんじきで歩く「美山スノーシューハイク」はリピーターの参加者が多いことで知られているとても人気のあるプログラムです。
It is a little hard to come to Miyama by public transportation especially in winter. But you can see very beautiful snowscape in this season.
